Everyone is great EXCEPT for the older lady in this building! She is the manager so watch out! Rude, unprofessional, and unmotivated. Will take any opportunity she can to ‘control’ or make petty commentary- without any actual help or offer of assistance. Especially if you have children. Really seems like one of those people who want to be in power/the boss of everything at the store. Shop carefully! (This review was prompted after FOUR poor experiences I have had WITH JUST HER. This year!)

DG’s are what they are. People look at the negative or the positives. It’s a business that’s has tried to find a niche among rural people and those who don’t want to drive half an hour to Walmart for a loaf of bread. They will always be staffed by two people although there are a few exceptions when you might have someone in the store for shift change or some other variable. But they are not going to schedule an extra person because it’s busy. All that being said there is allot of variation between stores. This particular store is among the best you will find. It really is like a small town general store. I mean when I have my little dog with me , he gets a snack. Yeah, sometimes one person is in the office doing some paperwork, and the other employee is stocking sodas at the back of the store. And yes you will have to wait one minute for them to see you and walk up to check you out. This is not the apocalypse. It’s a good life. Take that minute to be grateful for what you have, family, health or wealth. That’s DG.

Too slow.. they normally only have like one person working per shift. So, when they have to go stock shelves.. there's nobody, so u have to just stand there looking like an idiot ...Just as long as you're in no rush, they will do in a pinch..

The cashier helped me Helped me right away and found Everything I needed. So I was in and out in minutes while answering All my questions. Every store should be so be SO lucky to have an employee like This!

This Dollar General is the cleanest and most organized one I have been in. The employee I spoke with ( I think she may have been the manager) was so very friendly. I just stopped here by chance, but now I want to go back when I have more time. Great job!!

I like this DG. They usually have everything on my list, well stocked, except today they didn't have lavender wipes. Alot of things unavailable at my local DG, its worth the drive to this one. Friendly cashier, clean, compact.

On Christmas eve store was suppose to be open until 10pm. I arrived at 9:47pm at Dollar General in Polk Pa and doors are locked so U knock but no one answered. Signs all over saying open until 10pm on Christmas eve. I looked hours up online before I left to make sure they were open until 10pm. Roads were bad but I still was there before 10pm and dollar general in polk pa was not open as advertised

Now this place is a little cramped on the inside, but it's location is great due to it being the only shopping center in Polk for household items, grocery variety, and tobacco products.
