I just want to start out by saying I have never been more comfortable in a doctors office in my life than when I am at Brookside. I have a lot of anxiety surrounding doctors from past experiences but they have been amazing here. Jamey Renninger is amazing. I went with my wife to her appointment and loved the experience so much I became a patient too. I am surprised to see the other reviews saying such bad things about Brookside. Maybe there were issues in the past but none now. The front desk associates are amazing. They are always available to help and they are attentive and take care of you just as much as Jamey does.

I had my first appointment today with Jamey Renninger PA-C. She was outgoing and very attentive. She was patient, explained everything very well and took all the time I needed for questions. She showed a very high level of both competence and empathy. I feel fortunate to have her now as my primary care professional. Marissa at the front desk was super nice as were the nurses and all the staff. First rate experience all around! :)

It truly saddens me to see some negative reviews associated with this amazing place! I moved over to this practice about 10 years ago when my primary moved over to Brookside. The first several years were good and then she moved out of the medical field. Since then, I have had several different PCs. Things started to change for the better when Shelby joined.
Then COVID and no one could get an appointment anywhere!
In the past year, I have seen an amazing metamorphosis at Brookside Family Practice. My family has had an incredibly grueling year.
The level of compassion shown by Shelby and Jamey is amazing. My family and I feel truly cared for, and cared about. It is such a pleasure to go to a practice where the doctors and PAs take the time to really listen!
The front desk staff are all very pleasant and are genuinely interested about me and my family. It is such a pleasure to speak to any of them on the phone! They are always very helpful and get us in for an appointment as soon as possible (usually within the day.) We all know each other by name and they always make us feel welcome and part of their family!
We mostly see Jamey and Shelby and they are fantastic medical practitioners. They are some of the best medical professionals my family has ever had! We also like Dr.Sultana.
This practice treats people with dignity and respect. This is especially refreshing as so many places do not value mental health enough. This year has been particularly hard for my child who was bullied at school. It is refreshing for my child to be heard, and not brushed off, as I was when I was that age. It is a blessing to be in a safe space where we are all respected.
School systems can be extremely hard on parents of kids who have missed a lot of school. It feels like another full time job fielding calls, emails, messages and threatening truancy letters. The staff here have all been very supportive and have helped me navigate through multiple situations that have caused anxiety, not only for my child, but for myself, too. We truly work together as a team.
If I have learned one thing this year, it’s that everything precious can change in an instant. Thank goodness we have been fortunate to have people wanting to help and partner through these struggles together.
I wish I could give you all more than 5 stars! I truly love this practice and I recommend it to my friends and family. We are truly blessed!

I’m giving this place one star cause who allows a 90 year old person wait an hour to be seen? My grandmom was waiting for an hour before she got up to leave. The nurse told her and my mom that the doctor will be in shortly after they were done with their other patient. They walked by the room the nurse said the doctor was in and there was nobody in the room. Also told her to be at the office 15 minutes before her appointment which she was and still ended up waiting and walking out.

I'm not really sure what to make of my experience with this office. I'm not sure that I'm going to go back. I have been dealing with worsening back pain for the better part of two years. It started off minor and has gotten increasingly worse. It's to the point now where I am exploring a long term solution for it, if there is one.
I went in to be seen for it so that I could be referred to chiropractic. When that didn't work I asked for a reference to get an xray. Got that and waiting weeks and a couple voice mails before I finally got someone on the phone about a follow up. I wanted to discuss the results.
Because time had past they got me in to see a doc. This is where the weirdness comes in. The receptionist was very nice at first, however whole checking me in he makes a comment that I'm standing normally. He then goes on to say that I should need a chair, that maybe the pain is all in my head and I should try meditation, because I'm am standing there not appearing to be in pain. I never claimed to be in severe pain, I said that this is a long, slowly worsening issue that I would like to stop before it gets worse.
Then the nurse asks me several times if I can bend, sit on the table, etc. I again explained to her twice that I can do these things fine, I just want to see a doctor about the everyday pain to see if there's anything I can do to make it go away.
The doctor herself was polite, however these strange, judgemental experiences make me very uncomfortable. To the point that I don't even want to be proactive about my issue, I'd rather just deal with it them go back there. I have a busy life and 3 kids at home, so it takes a lot to finally take the time to take care of myself. I wish I hadn't bothered.

This facility does not even take new patients when I was already in the system as a patient they could not find me I should have been in the system. People answering the phones were honestly rude and not honest. Not pleased because I've been there before so I cannot understand. Thanks anyway that is why I'm giving one star at least.

I moved to Gilbertsville in 2017 and used Brookside for my family of 4 until 2023. I previously rated this practice 5 stars and loved the doctors, specialists, and care they gave until 2020.At that time:1. 3 of my specialist doctors left for Tower health2. Nobody returned calls days (even when family members were extremely ill)3. Couldn't get an appointment until 3-4 weeks later.4. My primary Dr. and PA left the practice5. Multiple family members felt the new doctor mismanaged our health over multiple visits for the past 1.5 years. Contradictory statement of across visits about medications, and not treating two is us properly when very sick (we left our appointments untreated).During my last visit with I had enough. I stood up mid appointment and told her "I think we're done here. You are the most unprofessional Dr. I've ever seen.".Three of my sick family members each then used online Healthcare services elsewhere, were all treated properly, and were all prescribed the same medications we truly needed to get well (and we are all getting better). For those of you that think only upset people leave reviews, you are wrong. I'm a local Google guide, and I always leave great reviews when warranted (as I did for this practice in 2018). If you read the reviews from other long term patients, they all say the same thing. It's ashame too. I honestly don't feel like finding a new family practice, moving all our medical records, etc but my families Healthcare is too important not to. Brookside has not been there for their patients the last 3 years, and they won't be there for you when you TRULY need them.Lastly to Shelby and Dr. Goldberg...we truly miss your professionalism, caring, and how you LISTENED to your patients (you were the best).Note 1 week after posting this review I received a letter stating I was being released from the practice (yet I released them 5 min after leaving my appt when I posted this review). They then mailed my medical records on an encrypted disk, however the instructions and password to decrypt the disk (my medical records) were written on the outside of the package (no security). Anyone intercepting the mail would have had access to my life's edical records (private HIPPA info).

Today I had a visit at Brookside family practice. Everyone was very professional and friendly and my PA Jennifer Willis was great she was very thorough and spent a lot of time talking me through my EKG and treatment plan. This was my first visit as a new patient and I found the whole staff to be very welcoming and I look forward to continuing my care here!

Being seen at Brookside for the first time, I saw how genuinely the healthcare workers care for those who step foot into the office. Seeing the reviews made me scratch my head a little bit as to if this was the move, but then I realized that rarely do people want to leave reviews if they leave satisfied - it's usually only when things don't go according to a preconceived notion do they want to voice an opinion and even more seldom when that opinion is positive. So I think the record needs to be set straight. I couldn't find anything negative to say - I'm struggling to find how anyone could. Everyone is so sweet and helpful and they do their best to meet your request as soon as possible. The front desk is prompt and they make you feel like family as you step through the door even though I haven't been a long time patient here. The medical assistants enjoy what they do and they appear happy to see me! It really was a great experience.I can't say enough good things about the staff and the providers are so knowledgeable and very friendly. Dr. Sultana, Jamey, and Jennifer are top tier medical practitioners. My only complaint is that I can't give more than 5 stars to the practice. Truly love this place and I'd recommend it to my closest friends and family.

Had my primary doc from this practice leave 4 times. Scheduling is nearly impossible and I’ve been trying to schedule a physical for over a month and either nobody answers the phone or they call you back and leave a message stating “give us a call when you’re ready to schedule”. Has definitely gone downhill since I first started going there.

Hands down worst place. I grew up going here my whole life and it has absolutely gone to garbage the last 5-8 years.Currently 35 mins past appointment time and no doctor. But I did hear them complaining and talking bad about me. Do not recommend. Terrible service and very rude staff.

I do not know what is going on with Brookside, but it is awful!!! the ladies that are answering the phone now are so rude. I called the other day because I was soooo sick and needed to see a doctor and she told me to go somewhere else. I’ve been going to Brookside Family practice for over 20 years with my family. If Dr. Goldberg know how all of his patients were being treated on the phone, he would be heartbroken! If you call and leave a message you don’t get called back!!! It’s pretty funny to because the message tells you not to leave multiple messages!!!! I understand that Brookside is short staffed right now but to take it out on the patience’s by being rude is just unacceptable!!!

I have been a patient at this office since 2008 along with my husband and children. I personally have not had a visit in the office except for the flu shot clinic that have on Satudays each year. I was told I am no longer a patient here since I haven't been there in 3 years. My whole family have been patients. I think I should have received a letter about this new policy.. This is not the way you treat patients or former patient. Not the way you do business as well

If I could give lower, I would. My family was with this practice since I was a child. Since COVID it has been horrible. Tonight was the last straw. My son had a fever of 104.7, and I called the after hours number for help. It after midnight and no call. We have had similar experiences, but never this egregious.Do not use this practice. I will be moving my family on Monday.
