About Coventry Animal Hospital
Coventry Animal Hospital, originally established as Peterman Road Animal Hospital in 1947 by Dr. John B. Peterman, is known for its progressive medicine, compassionate care, and reasonable pricing. The hospital has earned a reputation for handling situations with ease and concern for everyone's safety, such as during snowstorms. The staff and doctors at Coventry Animal Hospital are highly regarded, with a long-standing history of providing excellent care to animals. Many clients have been returning for years, even through changes in ownership. Although some may miss certain retired doctors, the current doctors are also held in high regard.
The hospital offers a range of services, including grooming, exams, and shots, all provided by kind and caring staff who treat animals with gentleness. The groomer, in particular, is praised for doing a great job and ensuring the dogs are happy. Carol, the groomer, recently gave a dog Juliet the best haircut ever, making her face visible and ears adorable, which delighted the owner.
Clients also appreciate how the staff and vet are gentle and personable, greeting animals by name and handling them with care. Many find working with the vets very satisfying, describing them as thorough and understanding. The office staff is known for being accommodating and quick to schedule appointments, often turning around requests swiftly and fitting in visits at convenient times.
While some clients have expressed concerns about the cost of services, feeling they are higher than at other veterinary hospitals, the overall experience remains positive. Clients mention that Coventry Animal Hospital is a trustworthy place that offers personal attention and compassionate care, making it a highly recommended choice for pet owners in the area.

We take our 17 year old dog to this vet, and have been very pleased overall. Everyone is nice and treats our dog so kindly. I think it’s a little expensive, but I have nothing to compare it to, so I may be wrong about that.
