Raceplace Hobbies, now known as Hess's Raceplace, is a hobby shop and family-focused race track offering radio control vehicles, slot cars, rockets, kites, and plastic models. It features a full-size slot car track and an HO track, with slot cars available for rental. The business is also a full repair facility. Under new ownership for about half a year, the place has been cleaned up and revitalized. The new owner is described as a great, straight-shooting guy who serves customers with a smile and a caring personality, focusing on fun rather than making a quick buck. The staff are very nice, knowledgeable, and helpful. They are patient with kids and facilitate birthday parties, where everyone has a blast. The location now has more tracks and products, with stock for slot cars back in full swing. It is considered a fantastic place once again, wonderful for kids and family, and one of the least expensive places to have fun in the area. Customers report walking in and out with a smile and highly recommend it for all things RC and slot car related, for all ages from beginners to seasoned drivers.
Any visit to the Q Mart is incomplete until a race or two at Hess's Raceway!! She loves it there.

We had our son's birthday here this past weekend and Nick along with his team were extremely helpful, had fun with the kids and took care of everything. They were patient with the kids and everyone had a blast. My son is already asking when we can go back again and race cars! Thanks Nick!

Great experience with this hobby shop! I recently got a new redcat vehicle, and I needed some parts. Was able to message them earlier in the week and got everything I needed today, very inexpensive! Also got free body clips!
