Do yourself a favor and spend the extra money to go to a real, reliable truck rental company like Penske. I booked a moving truck months in advanced, and was called the day before my move and told that they don’t have a truck for me. Instead of making it right, they told me I need to call customer service to “figure it out”. Completely unprofessional, and unreliable. Lesson learned, pay the extra few bucks, and don’t go here.

Reserved a moving truck 2 months in advance and confirmed it twice. When we went to pick up the truck we were told it was not there. After going back and forth with the company we were told that our pickup location is only a preference, and that they had a moving truck available 30 miles in the opposite direction. We promptly cancelled our reservation and called a local Uhaul. Very stressful for us when you're moving out of the state, and extremely unprofessional for them.

Our experience with Budget Rental Truck lacked the minimum degree of professionalism that I expect from any company offering services. I had heard about Budget's bad reputation after we booked, so I called periodically to follow up on our order, but each time our call was dropped, with the answer on the line saying that "they were with another customer." Three few days before our reservation, we got a call from the local pick-up site saying that they didn't have the truck in stock that we ordered. They told me if I wanted to work it out I would have to call customer service (I countered with the understanding that that should be their job, not my responsibility as the customer who had already arranged the reservation. The woman I talked with said that she tried and they didn't listen to her!). I called customer service and they told me they would not get a car to the location we had ordered, and that a specialist would call back as soon as twenty minutes from then to give us options. They called back the next day at 10:45 am to tell us that they had a truck available the day after our reservation (even though the truck was the wrong size). Or we could pick the truck up much further away from the original site we reserved it at (at least 1 hr). All in all, I was shocked by the flagrant antipathy toward customers, a lack of respect for the trouble to which I had gone to arrange this car in advance, and the fact that they did not do anything to retain my business. I will be sending an invoice to Budget for reimbursement for the difference in price which we incurred by having to book a different company at the last minute.

Terrible experience. Had to wait over 30 minutes for someone to get back to the store so we could return the truck and finalize everything. We purposely returned while store was open so we could get a finalized receipt. It would have been so bad but it took many phone calls to get someone there.
