My four cats have been patients of Drs. Bassett & Hill for the previous 20+ years and they and their staff are exceptional; extremely knowledgeable. My cats were all happy & healthy as Exeter Vet. guided me through various feline ailments into their golden (16+) years. The staff was beyond kind & compassionate as one-by- one three of their lives came to an end. When I lost Patrick in November, a donation was made by Exeter Veterinary Hospital in Patrick's name to the Pope Memorial Humane Society in Dover because.....that's just who they are. Thank you all, Jo Ellen

My leopard gecko received great care, including a check up, xray, suppliment food and medication. After listing her symptoms, they got me scheduled for an emergency appt the very next day. The doctor was kind, knowledgable and straight forward. The staff were all aware of my girl's situation and comforting. The bill was fair and the instructions for at home care were detailed. Thank you to the Exeter staff!

couldn't even get an appointment. The phone rings and rings and noone answers. Left two messages and noone called back. Gave up and went to Douglassville vet and had fantastic experience.

My bunnies are well taken care of every time they have an appointment. Staff are super friendly. Facility is always clean and no smell around the facility. I Wish the exam fee wasn’t so high, but it’s worth every penny. Highly recommend!!

Everyone in this office from the front desk associates to the doctors, are so friendly and they all make me and my very mouthy dog feel welcome each visit! The vets do a great job at doing whatever is in the best interest of my dog in order to make him more comfortable during our visit. I couldn’t ask for a better vet office!

I just got 2 of my bunnies neutered jun 8, when i got home i find out 1 of the bunny has bandage on his left front leg, i tried to take a peek, i almost see the bone, yet NOBODY never ever mentioned that to me after discharge, or explain to me what happens or how i am going to care for him afterwards. So awful!

Best veterinary hospital around! All of the veterinarians and staff are friendly, efficient and thorough. Dr. Achtel in particular is amazing. He takes time to answer questions and only recommends what is needed, not just things to make them money (which I have experienced at other vets).

I can not say enough about the extra support, kindness, compassion & exercise we received over the past 9 years with our Service Dog, ATLAS, a large white German Sheppard. Atlas was a very special dog, the kind of Dog they write about, as he was never willing to separate from my wife. You see, she was, "his job" and he took his job very seriously. When he was a puppy, Atlas jumped a metal fence to be with her, and tore his entire stomach. The amazing Vets at Exeter saved his life with their quick thinking & actions. They saved his life a 2nd time when he ate her hair extensions off of her dresser because they smelled like her. Perhaps the most interesting thing about our VERY SPECIAL ATLAS was the fact that he actually broke out of a kennel outside of Penn State when we were camped somewhere that required us not to have ANY dogs for one week. He attemped to cross 1000's of acres to get to her. Atlas was alone in the wild for 9 days! He got DM, and heartbreakingly we lost him after only 9 years. But, the Vets and Staff were amazingly kind and compassionate to us, even during Covid-19. Atlas learned any command after being told 1 time. He was more human than many humans out there. Thank you Exeter!

We had a sick older chameleon and I was so happy for the good care he got here. Reptiles are difficult and he was no exception. He saw Dr. Achtel for his first checkup and Dr. Kline for his later sick visit. They were caring and thorough in their examinations. Dr. Kline gave me good suggestions for his care. Our chameleon started eating again and is recovering nicely.

It's a terrific veterinary hospital! All of the staff are kind and compassionate. They are quick to diagnose and are great at treating illnesses. The cost of care is comparable to other veterinary practices. I am very impressed with the care they provide to my two dogs! I highly recommend this practice!!

for avian, straight crooks, they will rob you blind!!! They will give you a quote and then when you go in to pickup your animal your bill will double or triple!! Dont even try to dispute the bill that will only get you more frustrated by their d*** answers on why they are robbing you!! The answers I received where, oh we have watched him getting around well, he is gaining weight with his e collar on, no s****** my wife and i have been watching him and weighing him for the past seven days, well we got his e collar washed up also, wow!!! congratulations!!! First visit a $200 quote jumped to $400 a follow up I was told by the doctor was $140 to $165 (kinda of high but whatever) so I bring Charlie in for a follow up, go to pick him up $250 (WTF!!!) Then was asked by the same doctor that quoted me the $165, well who quoted you that? What!?!? are you f***ing kidding me!?! Remember being a customer, I have 1 face to remember so I'm positive on what you said!!! CROOKS!!!

I never had a problem with them until I took my cat recently to the vet. He was sick and I needed blood work. Which the vet told me it was fine but when I called back to ask what the blood work had said. It was a different response. I had asked how long it would take for the antibiotics to work. And I got the response of soon. I figured okay. Today I had asked to have a copy of my cats blood work done which I paid 208.00 dollars and they refused to give them to me. Told me they couldn't give me a copy. But could fax it to another vet. So I am not allowed to have a copy of my own cats medical records.
