Limited parking, price keeps going up more and more, and we get nothing in return for it. Greedy landlords.

I have lived in the complex a long time. The past few years have been increasingly disappointing. It is taking longer and longer for maintenance requests to be resolved, most units are outdated, you are responsible for paying all utilities including water/sewer and the number of children that roam the complex unsupervised, disrespectful, and touching your personal property is horrendous. For the $, you can find a better option!

??Beware??. $$$$ that's what matters here not people. Personnel here are either liars or just untrained giving false information to tenants..... Make sure you get some sort of security cameras there have been break ins in the area of the exeter village apartments..... try to avoid dealing with office management and maintenance?? looks are definitely??deceiving good luck when your lease expires prepare yourself for 10%+ increase that is completely computer generated and management is not very understanding to a great tenant in good standings needs.. they are Robots and you are just $$$ signs. I feel for the elderly people that live here they are being forced out by price hikes as well. Overpriced out dated units oh some have upgrades lol. Sorry.but you deserve nothing but the worst here in reviews..............????? thanks for the 3 yrs with lease headaches. You can have it.

I was there for 2 years and moved out because I moved into a home with my girlfriend. My time there was nice and the assistant office manager Barbara is so helpful and kind. I would definitely recommend this complex if you are considering an apartment.

Overpriced for basic units. Management is below average at handling issues and concerns. Community was not great either. Maybe it was where our unit was located, but neighbors were not pleasant and inconsiderate of those around them the entire time I lived here. Neighbors don't clean up after their dogs, leave their dogs running around off of leashes on the grounds, blare music and scream all hours of the day and night, liter all over the grounds; property management did not handle these issues well at all when concerns were raised and would state responses such as "what you may think as out of control levels of noise, may not be the same for the next person" (took that right out of an email they sent me). Really? Sorry unattended children cussing and screaming at the top of their lungs while I am on work calls is out of control levels of noise to me but not them. Happier in a better community for a month now with better property management, better price for value, & better neighbors/community. Don't let the looks of this community fool you. Look elsewhere.

We lived in Exeter Village for 2 years, and it was 2 years too long, but you decide for yourself. The pool and gym weren't open for their advertised hours for a single day during this period (obviously Covid explains some of that, but not all of it), and we weren't refunded any of our (higher than average for the area) rent. Not having to pay for a gym membership and being able to access a pool were key factors in choosing Exeter Village over other renting options. The carpet was fringed at 2 particular edges when we moved in, with nails sticking up, so we reported it to them. We thought to ourselves, no big deal, it was just cut too short, we'll be careful, and they'll fix it. Fast forward to our move-out two years later, and not only was it never fix it, but they charged us for it. When I explained that I didn't feel that was correct, because I reported the issue, and that's a frequent issue when not installed properly. Exeter Village wasn't able to do anything for us, and referred us to their parent company, Galman Group. The person that I was told to contact at Galman Group refused to answer all phone calls and return all voicemails over a two week period. This person only returned a single email, (their email addresses conveniently aren't available online), and never allowed me to explain the issue before never responding again. I was very nice and professional, but I feel like this is wrong, even if I wasn't polite! They charged us for a carpet replacement when our carpet was in near-perfect condition. A professional carpet cleaning was scheduled, and would have left the carpet in perfect condition. Our washer needed to be replaced a few months after moving in. It violently rocked, denting the side-by-side dryer, the walls around it, ripping up the floor, and could easily be heard from outside, let alone our upstairs neighbor! Because of how our laundry room was oriented with the door, the washer even moved in front of the door, preventing the door from opening multiple times. It order to fix this, we had to dismantle the door, which was very frustrating. We went through all the bells and whistles about making sure the washer was evenly loaded and the feet were installed properly. Nothing resolved the issue. We were told it would be replaced, and it was never replaced. Finally, they would enter out apartment without notification FREQUENTLY! Sometimes they would send out emails, stating maintenance would be entering apartments on this date during this time window. That was great, although they rarely actually came during the window. They also more-often-than-not didn't send the email notification (or even a phone call). During the thick of Covid, when most office/professional staff were working from home, we did as well. Exeter Village staff would knock on the door, and eventually barge in, even though our front door was locked and our dog was loose, while we were in Zoom meetings with our cameras and microphones on! We couldn't answer the door, but if we knew you were coming we would have let you know and been prepared. Again, this was without a phone call or email warning! What if were changing?! Sometimes we were not home when staff came in. Our video doorbell and living room security camera would notify us that they came. On a rare occasion that we were notified ahead of time, we crated our dog prior to leaving. One time they were nice and said "hello" to our dog in a playful voice, but another time we caught them mouthing off to our dog! Who does that?! There were many additional smaller issues. For instance, the basketball hoops (another advertised 'amenity') were taken down for about a year. Per our lease, our apartment was supposed to be power washed every year, but it clearly hadn't been power washed for multiple years before we moved in, and wasn't power washed until Spring 2022. At one point in 2022, the lawn was nearly tall enough for our German Shepherd/Siberian Husky mix to completely hide in it In certain patches in f

Terrible experience, first when we asked if there are any apartments to see before we make a 9 month commitment of $1746 we get told no, however that wasn’t the case because a friend of mine went through one a week later. Then when we decide not to go ahead with the application we are told the $500 holding fee would not be refunded even though we never signed a lease. The entire $500 was pulled from my account which when you apply to this complex it states only $250 will pull….. LIES!!! Not sure who in their right mind is just going to rent an apartment without seeing it but it wasn’t going to be us and not sure when an application became an agreement because if that’s the case all job applications I guess are an agreement. I have already contacted my attorney because people like this should not get away with this!!!! Good luck to anyone who rents here!!!!!

Hr and managers don't delegate issue with the maintenance staff and supervisor, they won't hear nor talk to you about your concern, you can send them emails about issue that arise but they would surely pretend they didn't get it. They are in need of workers but intill they intervine the right way then they can bring a good savy experience tech on board if you do decide to work for them mike an Dave needs to move on with work else's where or they would bully you with more work they don't want to do

Rent goes up every year pandemic or not. Apartments are older and starting to show age. Siding is covered in green algae. Our roof leaks every hard rain we have lived here and its never really fixed. Had had a huge dent in the roof that had now started to leak down the walls when raining. Just wish things would get fixed and not patched. Still the best apartment complex in the area at the moment. Unfortunately new owners don't have the best reputation according to online reviews so we shall see how fast things go. downnhill

Typical big corporate landlord. Do NOT rent there if you have any job relocation issues. Management is inflexible, leases have no transfer clauses. If you are transferred in the middle of a lease you are responsible for the ENTIRE LEASE until the apartment is rented. BS. Also...after 13 years living there, never missing a rent payment, I must pay to have the carpets cleaned on moveout. After that many years the carpet has normal wear and tear and will need to be replaced. If a potential transferree were to sign a shorter lease with Galman he or she will be charged a ridiculously high rent. It is overpriced at the normal rate. Also, parking is a disaster here. Tenants allow overnight guests to use the close-in spaces, thus forcing actual paying tenants the inconvenience of parking in a distant space. Some loyalty for 13 years of being a good tenant.

The community and our neighbors at this apartment are the only thing we liked about Exeter Apartments. Day 1, the sewer backed up and our bathtub was filled with raw sewage. When we told management, they blamed it on the previous tenants. Then, both bathrooms have black mold which is impossible to fix, because there is no humidity control (our gauge read 70% humidity in the apartment – so likely there is mold under the carpets and behind the walls, too). Plus, the showers are poorly fitted with a plastic overlay, and mold was evident behind the fitting, with water damage around the shell. We requested out of our lease early. They were able to re-rent the apartment, and because of this they told us we could leave early without penalty. We scrubbed the mold, professionally steam cleaned the carpets and cleared out on February 28th. Still, we were charged an additional 2 weeks into March because management “needed time to get the apartment ready.” This came to (in their words) “only $767.” We requested a copy of the agreement that states these two extra weeks are our responsibility, but they refused to send us anything. Quoting Laura Gonzalez, the Regional Property Manager, “You are still questioning me? We did you a favor and we have already explained everything to you more than once. Your account was finalized and closed and at this time there is nothing left to discuss.” Wow. Very unprofessional and rude. We were simply asking them to send us our lease agreement. We were in no way confrontational or non-professional. If I spoke to my clients in this fashion at my workplace, I would be out of a job within the hour.
