“It has been several months since I've been to the funeral home, but I needed some time to get my thoughts together. Most of the story about how I came to meet Mr. Hummel is not mine to tell, however, I will relate a little of it. I reached out to the funeral home after a long and exhaustive search to locate the remains of a loved one that had not been claimed at the time of death. The staff of the funeral home, including and especially Mr. Hummel himself, were so patient and compassionate throughout the entire process; it made an arduous task much easier. Having unfortunately had occasion to meet with and speak to a number of funeral directors, I can say with some certainty that Mr. Hummel is the kindest, the most generous of spirit, with a warm and humble manner that would make me feel safe having him handle my arrangements or those of a loved one. At a very difficult time, he and his staff were unfailingly kind, and for that kindness I am forever grateful.”
