Uh oh there’s a slight breeze…power might go out. Or the sun came up this morning…power might go out. It’s ridiculous how many times in a year the power goes out yet they have the audacity to charge everyone so much money. There was a “glitch” in their system and they charged me $1600 and refused to fix it and I was forced to pay it because if you fight them they will just shut off your electric. By far the absolute worst company I have ever seen.

I live in an area with miles of old trees that want to drop in the smallest wind. Meted has done an amazing job trying to prune the trees and assure no line breaks. With probably millions of trees they have done a great job and the outages are becoming less and less.Their crews are heroes, working at night, in rain and in snow to keep us supplied with electricity. It’s a tough job and I’m thankful I do not have to go out and do it.Presently writing this waiting for the crews to get to our broken lines to fix them, there were over 7,000 outages in the recent storm, best of luck to all the people out there fixing the lines and thank you.

I am beyond over it. I get weather happens, but it has become ridiculous with the outages and the response from this company. I have never had this much power outages before even with worse weather. When you call in, no one cares. You are lucky to even get your power on after 12 hours. At this point, I feel like there should be some type of discount given to customers because this is too frequent.

They are the worst, for starters it is hard to even understand the bill. Then when you call the wait time is crazy. I was on hold for 1 hour and 30 mins, and when I finally got to talk to someone. The call dropped, they will not even call you back when they literally have all your contact information. I have never been so angry.

If I could give no stars I would. Horrendous customer service and constantly being stuck in a loop talking to a robot and it's almost impossible to talk to a real person and IF you can get ahold of someone after an hours wait on hold they're usually of no help or transfer you to another department for another hour on hold. The energy rates are inconsistent and usually high with frequent power failures. It's a shame there's no other providers in my area.

Where I live, it's not unusual to have a power outage once, maybe twice a year, as a result of a tree branch breaking or a falling tree. However, it has now become ridiculous. In the past three months I have had SIX outages in three months. This isn't an exaggeration. I checked the phone log on my cell phone. They occurred from 9/25/23 to 1/28/24. That's an outage every two weeks, and that's ridiculous. This last one was particularly aggravating. Normally it would take Met Ed three or four hours, sometimes less, to complete repairs. This time it took NINE hours. That would be understandable if the weather had been really bad around the area, but it wasn't. Met Ed needs to be proactive in clearing their power lines to prevent these outages. They are certainly proactive when it comes to sending me a bill or raising my rates.

They are shutting down our power for maintenance which is understandable, problem is if they don't finish they are leaving us all night without power.... In the winter, our apartment build has all electric heat and some people there have small children, met ed does not care for their customers and they don't even try to hide it.

I can understand Outages. What I can't understand is why do they give you a commitment of 2 hours when you report it and then 2 hours later give you another 2 hours and this goes on for 12 or 14 hours 2 hours at a time if they have no idea when the hell they're going to get it back tell us.

Why are there so many power outages in the Temple area?! I've lived here for a little bit over a year and there's been at least 7 outages in that time period, and now an outage on Thanksgiving!! I lived in center city Reading for 7 1/2 years and had no outages! What do we pay such high fees for if Met-Ed is just pocketing the money and not upgrading the infrastructure?! A complete JOKE of a company!

Moved to a new home under the impression my significant other transfered the electric utilities. Turns out she just canceled the old home and never started the new, power went off day 2 in the new home at 6 pm. They got my power going by 7 again after-hours.

Attempting to report a broken pole and their automated system sucks. I’m trying to be pro-active before we have many homes without power!
