I can’t say enough positive things about the service department at Cochran Subaru of Butler County! On my way home a yellow light popped up on my 2021 Forester. I was a little panicked because I still had an hour to go. I pulled over and saw that Cochran Subaru in Butler County was a quick detour. I arrived as service was closing. Josh was still there and immediately came out to look at my car and calm me down. Jeff who was on his way out, was kind enough to take care of the light-a quick fix-with a promise from me to return for an oil change ASAP.I checked the website for open hours before going back to use the express service, but was wrong. My timing is terrible. I planned to come back but once again, Josh to the rescue! He arranged to have the oil change done right then and one of the awesome technicians stayed late to do it! Josh, Jeff, John and the rest of the service department go above and beyond- I love my Subaru and I love the service department at Cochran Subaru of Butler County!

Stopped by to window shop a new car. My mom and I were greeted by Brandon who was extremely knowledgeable, funny n kind. I am still trying to decide on my new ride but Subaru is definitely on top. Thanks Brandon for your help n insight. I have already told multiple people about you.

Went for a repair for a part failure. I bought my Forester from #1 Cochran which is an hour and a half away from my home. I chose to buy there as a friend and Subaru ambassador told me he had great experiences with #1 Cochran.My buying experience was ok, it was in the beginning of the pandemic, so I definitely had a different experience than normal. They didn’t follow normal protocol and go over the car as they are supposed to do and asked when I got the survey from Subaru that I tell them that they had. They also asked that I give a 5 star rating because if I didn’t the salesperson could get fired.Fast forward to 3 years later, I had a part failure. It is a part that Subaru has redesigned and are seeing a lot of vehicles come in for repair. I was told this by a Subaru Master Mechanic. My vehicle is out of the power train warranty as I am over the miles, and was told that it wouldn’t be covered. I asked if there was a recall, as the part was failing and had gone through a redesign, they said no. I asked if there was any other way they could help. They did a goodwill repair on my vehicle and charged me $265 for the repair. I would have been pleased with this if I hadn’t had to jump through hoops in order to get this offer and if my experience was better at the dealership. The service manager said they could have taken care of it completely if I had come to them for service. I am an hour and a half away, so I went locally for my service.I had to wait for 5 hours at the dealership. They didn’t offer a loaner to me so that I could go and come back. I sat in their service lounge that was comfortable and offered WiFi. They took extra time to do a “complimentary inspection”. I had my car inspected less than a month ago and was aware that some attention was needed soon to brakes and tire rotation. They sent me a video of the inspection and then the service person whom I checked my car in with came to me with the details. He went over all of what the video showed and was offering for me to have the service done at that time. They wanted to replace rear brakes and rotors and possibly two of my tires. I politely declined and said I would just like the part repaired that I came in for. They replaced the part. After about 5 hours, I was called out to the service desk from the doorway. I was told it was done and that it would be $265. The service technician processed my payment, he said something went wrong and then asked for my card again. He processed the payment again. This happens sometimes, but I took a moment to look at my bank account. The payment actually came out twice. He went back in and processed a reimbursement for one of the charges and gave me a receipt for both the payment and refund. This morning I went onto my banking app and their is a third hold for $265 from #1 Cochran. That is 3 charges for 1 service and no refund for the over charge. Overall this was a less than stellar experience! Do better #1 Cochran this is not the service Subaru gives to their loyal customers.Service: Engine repair

Let's be honest buying a car is not for the faint of heart. It's a stressful situation! I went here late on a Friday evening about 30 minutes till they closed. Ty met me and my fiancé at the door. I told him what I was looking for and what my price needs were, out the door without financing. Ty never tried to pressure me into using their financing to get something more expensive or even show me anything that was outside of my budget. I'm super happy with the Forester that I got and the process with Ty he was fantastic.

Before visiting the dealership, I went to the Cochran web site and got a KBB online appraisal for my wife's vehicle. According to their web site, as long as the condition is accurate, they'll pay the higher of the online or in-person appraisal. The gentleman I spoke with refused to honor that guarantee. He said they've decided internally to drop it. What's funny is that this same guarantee was present in the dealership's printed brochures in their sales offices. I don't expect anyone to make a claim like this, but if a claim is made, I expect it to be followed. Why is this still being advertised if Cochran refuses to honor it? If they'll do this, how can customers trust that their Certified cars are what they say? When I brought this to the gentleman's attention and said I was upset, he tried to joke about it, which was disrespectful. My wife loved the car, but we ended up walking because of broken trust and a bad attitude on his part. I brought my Subaru Outback new from Cochran. They've lost a customer.

Found a car advertised on the carguru website and went to #1 Cochran Subaru of Butler County to see the car in person. I planned to use my financing through my credit union but was informed they would NOT accept outside financing. USING THEIR FINANCING IS A HUGE RIP-OFF BECAUSE IT IS CHEAPER WITH MY CREDIT UNION. Why does it matter as long as they are being paid for the vehicle unless they get some sort of kickback for using their financing providers with higher interest rates? Then when I offered to pay cash for the vehicle I was told there would be an additional charge of $1500 to pay in cash. This dealership is unethical and uses switch and bait practices. I wouldn't send my worst enemy here to buy a vehicle.

I don't really understand why getting an appointment for service is such an ordeal... you will never get your call answered. You have to leave a voicemail and sometime the next day you'll get a call back. I really thought buying a car at a local dealer would be more convenient for Oil changes, etc. but at least when I can Midas they answer my call right away and I can make an appointment that day. I don't have time for this callback garbage. Good luck trying to talk to someone in service, like an actual tech. I needed an estimate on a repair almost two weeks later and multiple calls I'm still waiting for a written estimate for a claim repair. Again, might as well just take it to a local body shop and get it done. Super attentive when I bought my new car but clearly they could careless now..

My wife and I were window shopping for a new Outback and contacted Cochran Subaru of Butler. The F&I Manager is excellent, not only in putting deals together, but also in general customer service. We dealt more with he than with the sales consultant. If you are ever in the market for a Subaru, give them an opportunity to earn your business.
