His hair was more important than the antiques. People's garbage are not antique's!

Small place, first floor of an old house and two rooms in a small garage out back. Reasonable prices, lots of miniatures and tools.

Allen's Antiques, on the northbound side of Route 611 in Riegelsville, occupies a small space. But there's a surprising amount of good stuff in that small space. When I was there this afternoon, there were lots of small items--tools, planters, china, carvings, figurines. But there was also an assortment of toys, including a display of small lead soldiers and other painted metal figures. There was a container of glass marbles (priced at $ .50 each), some early advertising pieces, some really old books, Fiestaware, a blue Hall's for Westinghouse lidded container that I loved, and a corner filled with vintage clothing (mostly furs and hats). In the front window is a large advertising figure, but it's hard to see if you're driving by quickly. There was a pair of green glass hurricane lamp shades that I just loved. Thank goodness they were too expensive for me to even consider, because I have no idea where I would put them if I could afford them. I didn't really talk with the owner (because I knew I wasn't buying today and he was busy). But based on the merchandise, he knows what he has, and if you have questions or if there is something specific you want, it would be worth asking him about it. Don't miss this store if you're driving along the Pennsylvania side of the Delaware River--it's worth the stop. There was a sign in the window today (5/27/2016) that said the new temporary hours are only on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

I spend lots of my weekends in Bucks county antiquing and came across Allen's. From the outside this antique store lacks curb appeal, but don't judge a book by it's cover. This is a must stop if you are into fiestaware, vintage silver and obscure antiques. The owner is knowledgeable and has plenty of historical stories and facts that brought his antiques to life.
