I’ve been sitting in the drive thru pharmacy for over an hour. I’ve been at the window without service for 20 min. I don’t know why rite aid got transferred here but they are too understaffed to handle the volume they are now getting. I will be using another pharmacy. Even if I have to drive 30 min away that’ll be faster than this is.
It’s not the employees fault but this is ridiculous.

The people at the pharmacy do their best. Everyone I have dealt with at the drive up window have been nothing but kind. They need more help to handle the Rite Aid influx. They're doing the best they can.

Left message on prescription refill line and was told it would be ready by 11:30 the following day. Waited til 3:30 , husband went and waited in long car line and then was told it wouldn’t be ready til 5:00. We should have received a text or a call. Now trying to get them to answer phone is ridiculous. Still haven’t gotten to speak to anyone after 4 try’s and waiting 6 min so far. Finally spoke to very nice pharmacist but it’s kinda too late to undo now ☹️

You can wait at the driveway for 20 minutes behind a line of cars, only to have a woman close the blind on you because her shifts over. Then a guy tells you that you have to come inside because he’s alone now but you go in to see multiple people working. Do us all a favor and close your horribly mismanaged accounts pharmacy!

Being busy because you’re understaffed isn’t a reason to try and take it out on customers. The rudeness from these people is astonishing.

Why have a pharmacy service when you can’t get the meds you need when you need them? I was in the ER Saturday afternoon and found to have 3 fractured ribs! Horribly painful. I was sent home from the ER with 2 pain pills to get me through the night and a prescription sent to Giant Eagle. My prescription was not filled until Monday morning! I only had Tylenol and an ice pack to get me through Sunday and Sunday night! I could barely take a deep breath. I was able to talk with a pharmacist on Sunday around noon and she assured me my meds would be ready in a few hours. Never happened. What incredibly poor service!

I’m sure the onslaught of customers who got moved here from Rite Aid is overwhelming, but something needs to be done to accommodate it. I went to pick up a prescription after work yesterday. The drive thru was about 10 cars deep so I went inside only to find a line that was probably 30 customers deep. I waited for about 10 minutes, and when the line hadn’t moved at all, I just left.

My prescriptions were switched over from rite aid and all three times I have gone so far there has been an issue or the service was incredibly slow. Today I went and got into the drive thru at 4:50. There were 3 cars in front of me so I figured surely in 10 min they could fill 4 prescriptions before they closed at 5. I waited until 5:03 and when I pulled up to the window they had pulled the curtain down and closed without helping the few customers remaining in the line. I usually don’t write reviews but they really have terrible customer service.

I needed my prescription the day I called it in...they felt the need to put a sticker on the top of the bottle reading " for refill call 24 ahead" , I work two jobs, your putting 30 pills in a container, isn't that the service your providing? I know there is slightly more to it and many customers but if you can't handle the volume, how about hiring some staff...I'm moving my scripts I can give my money elsewhere

Sent my fiance a text saying her medication was ready. The lady said it didn't exist. I explained to her that she was 8 months pregnant and would have a seizure without it and asked for an emergency dose. They told me they could fill it tomorrow. Not the first time we had issues here, but it's the only pharmacy we ever had issues at.

I used to love Giant eagle pharmacy until I had to switch to the Rochester location I don't know what gives them the right to decide what medicine is right and what one is wrong for you. They seem to think that they are the doctors I've been on the same medication for 4 years now I used to be able to pick them all up on the same day every 28 days until 2 months ago when the pharmacist at this location decides to question whether or not I should be on this medication and decides not to fill this prescription until he reaches the doctor to reach the doctor in the doctor confirms that yes I should be on this medication so the next month same thing happens but with a different medication and it just so happens that my doctor was on vacation and was unable to be reached so he would not fill my prescription and I didn't get that medication for almost 2 weeks I don't understand why I was on this medicine for 4 years had no issues until I switched to this pharmacy needless to say I switched all of my medications out of this pharmacy and went to a different pharmacy I will never return to a Giant eagle pharmacy again thanks to this pharmacist. This pharmacist had a personality of a rock they need to be a little more personable with people and yes I do understand that they have to check and make sure there is no drug interactions but they are not the doctors they do not know what my mental health or my physical health is and for them to abruptly stop somebody's medication that could be very dangerous I would tell people to stay clear of this particular Giant eagle pharmacy if it all possible

I called the pharmacy to ask a question about insurance they accepted, Lauren told me id have to have my Rx called in to know. I called the Chippewa pharmacy, they were able to answer all my questions without sending my Rx.
