“I tried 3 other shops before I got to Julz, attempting to swap out a tricky pair of frameless lenses. Julz was the first place willing / able to attempt the work for me. Great service, and much appreciated!”
“It’s a small intimate shop, run by a lovely owner. While the shop is packed from floor to ceiling with kids stuff, she knows the location of ea and every item. I purchased two items for my grandbaby and I’ll def be back!”
“I've been going here for a few years now, I love their selection of DVDs and books and how cheap you can get almost new things. They're really affordable and definitely what thrift stores should be priced at.”
“I stopped by while visiting a friend from Chicago and picked up so many cute items that I’m so excited to wear this summer!! Will definitely be back next time I’m in the area!”
“Excellent customer service whenever I'm in that area I always stop by very affordable prices the husband and wife and daughter they are very friendly my opinion one of the best thrift shops in Philadelphia you must check them out”
“Wonderful boutique for babies & children! They have a beautiful selection of clothes, toys, books and much more. Very helpful & friendly staff! So thankful for this special place ?”
“Small store but great variety. Found some STEALS there. Went in for one outfit for semi-formal event, walked out with a bunch of fall additions to my closet, including 2 great pairs of shoes. I have benefitted from Project HOME's adult classes and know people who benefit from their housing. Love being able to help the community/organization and also being able to get some wins as well.
Also, the gentleman who was working, who I believe is the store's manager, was incredibly kind and a funny.
Thanks for a great shopping experience.”
“Always a great place to find a bargain. The store is organized and tidy. The staff is always very friendly. There is a large parking lot across the street from the building.”
“Stopped in for the first time last week, and I’m obsessed. I could spend hours in this place (pretty sure I did spend hours in this place). Granted I’ve only been once, but I thought we landed in a reasonable place price-wise. Definitely plan to return.”
“Breslin’s is a super cute consignment shop with quality clothes for reasonable prices. They carry brand name items in gently used condition. Their shoe, handbag, and jewelry selection is always impeccable! The staff is friendly and helpful as well!”
“Really interesting selection of antiques, furniture, odds and ends, lighting, and curiosities. Prices are reasonable and the staff is friendly and helpful. Very cool vibes and a nice spot to browse even if you're not looking for something specific. There are 2 other locations in the city with a lot of other great furniture as well.”
“I passed this cool Small shop on South St. looking for a barber. Mostly curated new items with a quaint thrift section on lower level. Really great prices and a cool atmosphere. I'll be back.5 stars especially learning the story of how it started. Shout out to the cool workers who were mad helpful.”
“One of the best assortments of vintage clothing out there. Especially great that he deals in so much menswear. David is a very knowledgeable and fair guy and constantly adds new items to his inventory. Definitely check it out!”
“Outstanding. I am a long time customer and also have consigned here. Karen is a conscientious curator. There’s no leftover yard sale here. Her clothes and housewares are vetted and have to meet high standards before they hit the floor. I’ve bought distinct pieces of jewelry, numerous high end handbags and luggage, shoes and jeans here and the price is always right. I have also picked up some Holy Grail furs.
Plenty of parking, conveniently located and always clean and organized.”
“Super narrow and packed with unique finds. So many weird collectibles and a drink stirrer drawer?? Such a fun visit for a lazy Sunday after brunch. I've been fascinated with this place since coming to the city years ago.(**Picture is from 2018)”
“Astounding customer service. I live across the country from Throw Back Thrift and needed help with a special project near their location. The staff was incredible, making every effort to help me. The results were phenomenal. Better than I could have hoped for. I strongly recommend this store if you want great service and you help the animals and needy at the same time.”
“I did an online order for pick up in store. I am big on good customer service. The owner told me to ask for Robin when I get to the store. Robin was very welcoming with excellent customer service. My order was ready and the fit was great. I will be returning for more purchases.”
“This is one of my favorite vintage spots in Philly. I pieced together these two looks for a recent set of commercial shoots.
I love walking into a place like this with a slight idea of the abstract direction I want to go into and then finding the little pieces that start to make it more pronounced. That leather vest was an amazing touch. ??”
“I feel lucky to live close to this place! The clothes don’t require the same “pick-through” effort that other thrift stores require. You can tell they try to bring in name brands that are in good shape. Much appreciated spot in the neighborhood ?”
“Absolutely love this store. The staff works really hard and most if not all are friendly. As for the prices, the best I've seen so far. I've gotten so much from here. Here's a few books, clothes and a painting I've gotten from here recently. Also a few questions I can answer* Donations stop at 6pm* On Wednesdays almost all the clothes are half off. (They go by colors)(different colors for different days. This changes often.)* I go everyday and everyday I see new things* Bring your own bags. (They have bags but a small selection)* I have been told by staff that this location will be closing at the end of Jan 2024 to get renovated.* MY average price for my clothes is like $2.50”
“Randomly stopped by the other day on my way to an event, ended up staying for awhile and not going to the event. What an amazing shop, with the most fun, colorful, odd and exciting stuff.I met Sarah the owner and connected with her. I felt so seen and belonged. Definitely my new favorite shop! Will be coming back daily lol”
“really awsome place for treasures the employees are great and the owners are lovely this place is a must go to place give it a shot who knows you might find something you like and the prices are incredible”
“This is my absolute favorite place to go for unique home decor and furniture! I buy something I love almost every time I come (which is a lot.) The owners are so lovely and knowledgeable, and everything is very reasonably priced. Great place to find mirrors, lamps and decorative objects! There’s a huge variety of items, lots of vintage and antique items from all over the world, and always new stuff coming in!”
“I love it here! Every time I come the staff is always kind and helpful. I always find new and cute items and the store is very organized.
Edit: I’m not sure why some people are saying it is over priced. I’ve found a lot of cute outfits for a great price on a “budget””
“Green Street consignment and Chestnut Hill is a great place. A lot of beautiful things reasonably priced. Gently worn, And you can sell your things here too! Need an appointment though”
“If you're in the market for new, vintage, or any type of jewelry, this is THE place to start and end. The customer service is superb and very fair in their pricing. Overall very pleased with our experience and will definitely purchase from them again!”
