Good hot sandwich for reasonable price. Homemade ham salad and pasta salad and much more. THEY pump your gas... Usually $.25 less than Somerset...accept debit and credit

What a dismal and unfriendly spot. Keep riding to the next town to avoid hostile store clerks.

Been going here for 15 years, and for awhile I always thought the people running the store were jerks. But once I got to know them, they are down to earth blue collar folks. They have their bad days like everyone else, but they are good people. Love their selection of lunchtime food. And the drink selection. I love patronizing this place, and if I am in the area, 10 out of 10 times I will stop here over going to S&S. Hands down the best food in town for a very reasonable price. Definitely recommend!!

Love their pizza and hot sandwiches at lunchtime. They keep random items stocked in the coolers for a nice selection. Have been going here for over 20 years. Sometimes they could smile a little more, but that doesn't mean they are mean. Spread your sunshine, because I hope they stay for another 20 years.

Rock City Express is a gas station and convenience store, located less than a hundred yards from the trail and trailhead in Rockwood… it was a great spot to get Gatorade and water and milk and snacks for an early morning ride out of Rockwood… it’s the only early morning place to shop! Prices are reasonable and the gentleman behind the counter was friendly. We liked their outside tables under a roof, which is great in inclement weather… I stop there most times that I camp at Husky Haven… I do go to the Mill Shoppes for pizza however!

Right across the bridge into Rockwood from the trail. Have beer cooler. Only thing open in Rockwood on Sundays. There is a shelter with picnic tables where we ate that saved us from the brief rain storm. There... There's the only 4 positives about this place for trail users.Had some food but nothing much. Lady at the counter seemed as if we were inconveniencing her simply by being there. After we ate went back inside for some ice cream and asked to use the hose outside to fill our water (reluctantly) the girls working the counter said they don't think "they" (guessing the owners) don't allow that here and the only water they have is in the cooler for sale.I'd like to ask the owners to take the bicycle off the sign since they're clearly not cyclist friendly.Honestly if you're in the area any Day other than Sunday, go to the Opera House! It's worth the extra few feet to get there. I've already left the five star review for them from a few weeks ago and they are super out of their way accommodating to anyone passing through and their food was amazing! Rock City Express clearly doesn't see us as a need for their business so let's not give it to them.

I went in and ordered a sandwich and bought a snickers and Gatorade. Ate outside and as I was about to get on my bike I went back in to ask about a place to fill up my waterbottles. The rude man running the store said he didn’t allow anyone to even fill up out of the disgusting bathroom sink! I shook my head and walked out instead of giving him anymore business. Not to mention... signs on the doors say “masks mandatory” but noon inside was wearing one...
