We had a wonderful time visiting Old Windmill Farm. It was a great experience! It was fun and we learned a lot about the Amish farm way of life and we got some hands on experience with bread baking, cider making, churning butter, pie baking and we even milked a cow. We thought the fresh baked bread and fresh butter were delicious. I enjoyed very much seeing all the animals and the sleigh ride. Our host and hostess were very gracious and answered the many questions our group had. I highly recommend.

Excellent time! It was probably our second favorite travel experience ...only after our trip to Antarctica. We were expecting a "well-marketed" event, but we found it authentic and our hosts genuinely and unapologetically shared their Amish faith and lifestyle. Our children (11 and 14) were fascinated and told us it was an experience they felt was "real." It is definitely slower-paced, but well-worth the fee and time. We truly enjoyed the Lapp family, the baking/cooking and the farm animals! The best four hours we've spent in a long time. Highly recommend!

A great experience. We did the farm tour. We loved holding the baby animals. The baby pics were so cute. My kids fed the baby cows. They let the kids milk the mommy cow. The wagon ride was fun. They let the kids "drive". They really make sure everyone enjoys the experience and get a turn with everything. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Katherine was our guide. I recommend the trip. It's worth the money. They have a very adorable and friendly cat, as well. ?

The family is awesome! If you have kids they will love all the animals on the farm! We made pumpkin pie. Applesauce. Fresh cider and the bread is amazing! You help make the butter@ the butter and bread is amazing and I am a chef. We got a ride around the farm in a shed carriage. What a terrific day. This is a must visit when in the area. BRING BOOTS. YOU WILL BE HAPPY YOU DID

Jesse and his wife were the most gracious hosts, and we had a fantastic time visiting their farm. All the foods they helped us make were absolutely delicious, and our family loved what we brought home. Jesse really went above and beyond to make sure everyone had a wonderful time. We even got to hold baby piglets, bottle-feed calves, and milk a cow. We can't wait to go back and visit the Lapp family again!

Where do I begin! This was an experience like none other for my family and I. First we arrived 40 minutes late due to traveling 2+ hours to get there. However, they were still accommodating and we were able to participate in most of the activities that were included in our package (Christmas experience). Jesse and his wife were amazing!! They took their time to talk and explain and answer all questions. I definitely look forward to going back. Oh and the butter, apple sauce, cider, and jams were excellent ??

The family is very nice! They answer any question that you pose to them. They share some interesting aspects of Amish life that you won't hear anywhere else. The interactive aspects of the tour are terrific; butter making, cider and applesauce production, and pie making. I would recommend this tour to everyone.

My wife and I are frequent travelers to the Lancaster area, and we always make it a point to visit the Old Windmill Farm. We have taken the Amish Farm Tour several times and there is always something new and exciting happening at the farm! We recently attended the Amish Christmas Farmhouse Experience and had such a good time that we have already decided that we will attend next year. If you're in the area be sure to visit, you'll have a great time!!

We had the most amazing experience here. It was really a highlight of our trip to Pennsylvania. The Amish family who run the farm is very welcoming, and happy to chat and answer questions. in addition to taking us on a tour of the barn inching questions we got to cuddle with some very cute animals and milk a cow. after the tour we went on a ride in the buggy and got turns to drive the buggy. after visiting, I started researching more about the Amish culture and found a really wonderful documentary that included a bit on the farm!

We had an amazing time. The Lapp family was so wonderful and we all had a great time with them making homemade butter (amazing), pumpkin pie (best ever), applesauce (fabulous), apple cider (the best) and I’m sure I’m missing something but all was wonderful. Loved their farm and animals. Such a great day and I recommend Old Windmill Farm to anyone. Thanks Lapp’s!!

My brother recommended this place to us as he had brought his daughter last weekend and she wanted to go back this weekend (yesterday) me (her aunt). The whole family had a lot of fun and want to go back a 2nd/3rd time! The animals are all well cared for, stalls were clean, I grew up in the Midwest and have been to a lot of farms and these were some of the happiest farm animals I've ever seen. Jesse and Ruth Ann were both very kind and lovely hosts, it was interesting to learn more about the Amish lifestyle. The homemade bread, butter, apple juice, etc were all excellent and we left with full bellies. This is going to be a new holiday tradition for our family going forward as long as these Christmas tours are offered because it was just such a happy and memorable day for everyone & we will come back just for the farm tour as well. Whenever we have more family/friends in town we'd definitely bring newcomers as well, the farm is a very special place to visit!Thank you to the whole family for the hospitality.
