Strasburg Rail Road is America’s oldest operating railroad, offering an authentic steam railroad experience. It features five steam locomotives and a fleet of beautifully restored passenger cars, including First-Class, Dining, Coach, and Open Air. The steam train excursion is a 45-minute round trip through the beautiful Amish countryside, with an audio commentary highlighting unique history. More than 2,500 acres of farmland is visible. Themed events throughout the year include the Easter Bunny Train, Day Out With Thomas, and Christmas trains. Visitors describe a spectacular, amazing, and enjoyable trip. The ride is comfortable, especially in first class with individual cushioned chairs and large windows. The dining experience offers an amazing menu, with fantastic food highlighted by an exceptional beef wellington. The staff is consistently noted as super friendly, very friendly, and providing five-star customer service, often going above to accommodate special moments and requests. The small village shops and convenient parking are also appreciated. Some guests feel the trip is a bit pricey for the short ride and a little rushed during dinner, wishing it could go farther. While events like the Easter Bunny Train are a treat, some hope for a more engaging experience beyond a quick wave and photo. Overall, it is a highly recommended experience for its unique combination of luxury, comfort, fascinating history, great scenery, and wonderful themed events.
Granddaughter's first train ride! Had an amazing time! All staff was friendly, helpful and made it the amazing time it was! Will definitely be going again!

The train was was fun, can't really make out what the tour guide is saying in the overhead speakers. Beautiful scenery.
