1st Avenue Woodworking offers classes teaching basic to advanced woodworking techniques in a working furniture studio. With over 30 years of experience, the instructors have mentored many apprentices. The business is highly recommended for all beginners, as well as self-taught woodworkers or novices. The workshops, like the intro level two-day courses, provide a fantastic and awesome experience. They are extremely hands-on; participants do the work in a well-organized project. The instructors are true craftsmen, great teachers, knowledgeable, patient, and there to show the safe and proper way to use hand and power tools. Students leave with a beautiful, fantastic, and nice piece of furniture they made, feeling accomplished and having learned invaluable knowledge and professional skills, including great tricks not found online. It is an amazing experience where participants also meet amazing and really nice people. Many students absolutely love the class, cannot wait for the next course, and highly recommend it to anyone interested in learning about woodworking and furniture making.

I absolutely loved the woodworking 2 class. I was a complete beginner and the instructors were so patient and knowledgable. It was an amazing experience and I look forward to taking another class! Highly recommend!!!!

I've taken two classes so far and loved them both. Edward and Randy are great teachers.
