This was my normal go to Rutters and usually it's great. Recently coming through to and from work, it being the only place on my route the service has been incredibly slow in the food area and usually I see the people standing around and chatting rather than working. Twice I ordered a single pretzel which is an extremely easy order and it took 20 minutes the first time and 15 the second day I stopped in. One other customer was ahead of me waiting on food on Day 1, there were 3 employees and only 1 actually was preparing the food and since there was an order ahead of mine I had to wait 15 minutes for the only employee actually working to finish the first customers food while the other 2 just stood around not helping with the other orders coming in. This same thing happened the next day I came in later in the week before my shift. There were 2 girls standing around and 10 minutes after I put my order in a guy who walked in from a break grabbed my order and made it rather than the girls who sat there for 10 minutes not even tending to my order which again was a single pretzel. Its like they can't do more than one order at a time even with multiple employees and something so simple ends up taking forever bc of the standing around and socializing. I work in customer service as well and I tried giving the benefit of the doubt but it was more than a one time issue.

Ordered cheese burger subs, the hamburger was cut into small pieces, cheese was not melted and was cold.yuk

Rutters is like all businesses that use ATM cards. If they support a feature of paying for fuel and bypassing the security code, then someone (you do not know), will steal your money. My damage was $149.54, that would equal to 50 gal. of fuel. A new way to steal, by passing your ATM... YOU the ATM cardholder ... have no control... Watch your money.

Stopped at this Rutters on the way to Gettysburg was a huge mistake! Bunch of young girls working the food area with only one girl actually working and the rest standing around talking. Food was garbage hot dogs were cold and bread was hard, breakfast sandwich was cold and untoasted even though I ordered it toasted. Service sucked to, no one wants to hear you argue with your coworkers. Should of gone elsewhere won't make that mistake again.

there is a no parking sign, but I stayed here for 24 hours. It is a very good place, the toilet is clean, there are food and drinks. There are 12 parking spaces for trucks

I bought a shake and I’ll never make that mistake again. It was ice and skim milk or water not sure but barely had peanut butter flavor in it. Definitely buying a shake elsewhere from here on out.

Rutgers does have most of what you need during a quick stop from the road
Like other gas and grocery facilities the food is only average, but when you need something fast it is always clean and well stocked.
