I have been shopping at western PA estate sales for more than a dozen years, and Turn Key sales are by far my favorite. Their sales are well organized, the houses are FULL of treasures, and their prices are always fair. I love the massive album of photos posted online prior to the sale. Plus, the staff are always friendly, welcoming, and ready to help. The online auctions are awesome as well. I've been able to find a few things up for auction that I have been hunting for years, and I've always been thrilled with the items that I've purchased.Whether you're new to estate sale shopping or looking to hire a liquidator, I'd highly recommend Turn Key!

I have always enjoyed going to antique stores as I came across them in my travels and in the last couple years have began to enjoy visiting estate sales. Turn Key Liquidators has always been one worth getting out of bed for, in my book. Aside from the great selections that they always seem to find, their attention to detail and estate sale etiquette, fair pricing, and helpful staff - they are a premier liquidation company. With the introduction of their online auctions, it has made buying from them an even more enjoyable experience, as I have made many large and small purchases from them and have never been disappointed. Being able to support a family ran business, especially one ran by a fun and knowledgeable couple, makes you feel like you’re walking away with a little more than just the treasures you found that day.

They sell counterfeit merchandise and the owners are rude and unprofessional. The owner also will bid up items himself. I won an auction of 4 vintage watches for only $88, one of which was a ladies Rolex. Obviously a Rolex for $88 sounds too good to be true but I figured any reputable auction house wouldn’t dare to list something this valuable without verifying it’s authenticity. Immediately after meeting the owner for pickup I brought the watch home and removed the back only to find that it’s parts are labeled with stamps from Japan and Hong Kong. It is clearly a fake. I called the following morning and after talking with the owner (Jeff) he revealed that they do not actually check if anything they are selling is real. Selling a counterfeit Rolex is illegal regardless of how it is advertised or what description is given. The owner couldn’t seem to grasp this concept and came up with a number of ridiculous excuses for why it’s my fault that he sold me a counterfeit Rolex.“I didn’t advertise it as a Rolex!”… that doesn’t matter, it is illegal to sell a counterfeit Rolex regardless of the description or title.“I didn’t even know that was in there, I would have never put a Rolex up for bidding”… well you did, it was featured prominently in the pictures, and that is not my fault.“You can’t expect us to check every single thing we list for authenticity, we list everything as is”…. if you were a reputable company and a smart businessman you would certainly take this more seriously. You would know it is illegal to sell counterfeit merchandise such as fake Rolexes under any circumstances. It doesn’t matter if you didn’t know it was there or if you thought it was real. It was illegal for you to list it in the first place but you couldn’t be bothered to take the extra 2 minutes to check. When these excuses didnt work started accusing ME of trying to rip HIM off.He told me he would refund me by check and hung up on me. After texting him my address he replied that I would have to have it authenticated before he would give me my refund that he already agreed to.I’ve never dealt with such unprofessionalism in many years of participating in estate auctions. If you read other reviews you’ll see that this kind of childish behavior is common for these people. This transaction speaks volumes about how they will go about selling your items if you decide to use their services. How do you miss a vintage Rolex? You just toss it in an unlabeled watch lot with a few other random old watches? Imagine this Rolex turned out to be genuine and these people just sold me your priceless family heirloom for $88 without even properly labeling or researching it. Anybody in their right mind would be livid. These people don’t know how to run a business. They are rude incompetent liars at best and sleazy thieving criminals at worst. The owner told me not to bid on their auctions anymore….like I want to buy anymore of your fake junk anyways.

Hiring Turn Key Clean-Outs and ESTATE SALES, LLC was one of the best decisions in my life. My family estate had an overwhelming volume of contents and in no way was I able to do it alone. Talisa and Jeff came onto the scene and I was blown away by their knowledge, professionalism, enthusiasm and willingness to take on a clear out of this magnitude. They arrived each day with a positive attitude and an outstanding work ethic. There were 10 online auctions and an Estate Sale. They accomplished what they said they would and our family was extremely pleased with the results. We highly recommend their company for your clear out and liquidation needs. Their pricing is fair and honest. They are fair and honest. I know they are special as I cried when they were completed with the estate. I still miss them.

I had nothing but a great experience with Talisa and Jeff. I was liquidating a complicated workspace, and was very impressed with their ability to identify half of my profession specific tooling, but also the way they laid out the lots. I thought it was very well done.

This is a revised version of a review I first posted in 2020. I hired TurnKey to conduct an estate sale at my parents’ house in February 2020 and strongly regret doing so. After I posted my initial review, Talisa Harshman, TurnKey’s proprietor, wrote a long response, rejecting all my criticisms. In light of her comments, I have rewritten the review. My insight is valuable to anyone considering hiring TurnKey.First, Talisa Harshman is rude, thin-skinned and communicates poorly. Her manner is brash. At the time of the sale set-up, she barked that I should not have been in the house. Talisa perceived me as an obstacle she had to work around. I, the client, had invited her team into the home. Far from obstructing the set-up, I’d made their job easier. I’d emptied closets. The house was immaculate when they arrived.Neither Talisa, nor Jeff, ever thanked me for my business or expressed sympathy for our loss.Second, Talisa and her team were sloppy. After the sale set-up, they left a heap of flimsy trash bags, wire hangers haphazardly poking out of the bags. I had to re-bag trash in contractor bags to prevent it from spilling out across the drive way – even though I was paying a clean-up fee to TurnKey. After I complained, Talisa essentially stopped communicating to me, responding to messages with the tersest replies. After the sale, lights and ceiling fans were left on throughout the house. Finally, the result of the sale was very poor; TurnKey practically gave items away. The sale was clearly run for the benefit of regular buyers and not to get anything near the value of the objects being sold. The experience of clearing my parents’ home was made far worse by having to deal with Talisa and her crew.
