December 2023 by Bob Davis
I was discharged from seeing my Doctor on April 18, 2022. I received a call from the head doctor and the doctor said I could longer see my doctor without any reason why. I received a letter two days later stating that I couldn't see my doctor because of "inappropriate behavior". The doctor supposedly signed it. But instead of DR or DO. The signature said HN. To me that meant the letter and signature were possibly forged by a nurse. My wife had an appointment with our doctor in June, 2022. Our doctor told my wife to apologize to me for what happened, and the doctor didn't know about the discharge until after it happened. THE higher-ups and nurses probably put pressure on the doctor not to see me or to talk to me. I was totally baffled why no evidence was presented to me at any time; I was always nice to my doctor and staff when I had appointments. I contacted Navex-Ethics Point to help me resolve the problem. The only thing Geisinger did was to send them the letter that the head nurse or whoever wrote about my discharge behavior. I was contacted by a lawyer and a security person that I could not see the doctor again, try to contact her or else I could be arrested for harassment. I WISH SOMEONE WOULD PROVIDE ME THE REASONS WHY I CAN'T SEE THE DOCTOR!! I feel like a criminal or that I'm evil, and most of the time I feel extremely depressed and dead inside most of the time. My wife has severe memory loss and pain and depression; She could have stayed with our doctor but she left because of me. The doctor was the best I have ever seen. I give this doctor 5 stars. Every day is a struggle without this doctor. I don't understand why the head doctor and nurses are against me, and then they got a lawyer and security involved. I've never done anything to these people. I'm hoping someday they come to their senses about what they did to me. I won't leave Geisinger because Geisinger CMC has done a fantastic job every time I have gone there for doctor appointments for cancer chemo for lymphoma, heart problems, tests and operations. My Depression gets worse and worse every day. I don't know how long I can deal with it. I'm close to my breaking point, and there is no one to help. My Wife is suffering from severe memory loss. My new PCP doesn't care about my problems; I am in the office for no more than ten minutes. I wish we both could see the PCP who I was banned from seeing!

I had to switch doctors because mine left so I decided to go with Dr. Hill from Geisinger. He might be a good fit for others, but he wasn't for me. The first thing he did was look at my chart and noticed I smoked. He made me feel like he was interrogating me about it for about 5 minutes or so. After that I felt my anxiety rise and then he bent down and got close to my face and asked me if I was having a problem with my anxiety. This made things worse because of the way he spoke to me. I didn't reply because I felt fearful and wanted to leave. My husband had to hold my hand to help calm me, but it didn't help. Then tears rolled down my face while I was trying to hold back crying. He quickly finished his exam and prescribed me two scripts to quit smoking which was rather extreme considering I only smoked 10 cigarettes a day and it was recently I began to smoke. I feel he could have handled things differently. I never went back and cancelled the appointments for my husband and son. I didn't want to take the risk of them going through something similar. Especially my son because he has autism.

I wanted to give 0 stars but unfortunately can’t do that. I had xray appointment at 8:10. I sat there for half hour and the lady walks out and says there is no XRAY TECHNICIAN in today. Should’ve told this to patients before checking in. People take off of work just to come here and sit for nothing. Please do better jobs!!!!

Due to a pre existing condition of not being able to wear a mask which they repeated tried to force as I told them it made me sometimes violent.Turns out the suggestion of a face shield that I had made over 2 years ago but was refused for is a valid solution. This comes from one of the therapists at that site.Well they just sent a warning letter about wearing a face mask.Show that they do not even follow their own policies. Had that simple one been followed I would have never stopped health care due to masks being forced.

I love my doctor BUT I HATE the people you have to deal with to call you back! They won’t leave the messages you ask and one of them hung up on me! Didn’t even let me finish my sentence! Granted after telling her17 times what I needed I did raise my voice but I was NEVER disrespectful to her! I HATE THE PEOPLE YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH WHEN YOU CALL IN! Maybe I need to look somewhere else if it doesn’t change! They also send your prescriptions to the wrong pharmacy. Nice right also my daughter had an appointment was driving 45 minutes to get there and got caught up in construction. She called and said she would be late. They NEVER put it in her chart or told anyone. She got there 15 minutes late and was told she would have to wait 3 or more hours or come back the next day. Oh and by the way she had her 5 week old infant with her! WOW they’re real compassionate at this place aren’t they? She was only getting a flu shot! They are the WORST!

I honestly hate this place. Drove an hr for appts here during my pregnancy thinking id get decent care. But it was horrible the entire time. Was constantly being labeled and having to find things out like decisions being made behind my back about my health and appts. Appts were always messed up and in the end was labeled non compliant for questioning their practices of charting information without ever discussing them with me. So happy to have had my baby and can move on from this place that is full of a bunch of shady people who dont care enough to actually talk to you and just decide whatever they want and what course of action they would like to take when it comes to Your care without ever asking you.

When you make your gyno appt 6 months prior because it's something that is very important that can cause cancer we're monitoring and I am working with a specific doctor the first one who has cared about me in several years and my health to help me battle this thing that shouldn't be here anymore however because Geisinger was negligent in my care between 2016 and 2021 it still exists and you then find out the medication you're on is making you psychotic 2 weeks before your appointment and you get a call on SUNDAY your appointment you had made and set for all of these months was CANCELLED and you cannot be seen at all by no doctor for months or even the doctor I am with is EXTREMELY NEGLIGENT AND DISGUSTING!

My issue isn't with my primary doctor it's with the place she works for. I have a preexisting condition and have some issues that need to be addressed. As usual, I went to set up an appointment only to find out the earliest I will be able to see her is four months from now! How in today's world is that acceptable? We are not a 3rd world country, and if it takes more than a week to see your doctor, I would say that they have way too many patients in their care. I will be shopping for yet another new primary care doctor now.

This doctor is rude, has no compassion, and i recommend avoiding him at all costs. I came to see him after a procedure that proved that I was suffering from an extremely painful condition that was negatively affecting my health in many ways. His treatment and this is a direct quote “deal with it.”

While the facility is excellent as are the staff and providers, there is absolutely no good reason why masks are still required on these facilities. COVID is over, the new CDC info is out and these things never worked in the first place. Stop with the masks!!

The family practice group at this facility is excellent. Our Dr really cares about everyone in the family, is on top of everything to make sure we get the best care promptly. He also is very patient & kind with my Motherinlaw who is a disabled senior with limited English language skills. As for the Coumadin clinic, the staff there are excellent, very professional, friendly, patient and kind. They make it a pleasant experience for my motherinlaw, despite her handicap. As for the Mammography, we have had only positive experiences. The Staff is professional and friendly.
