Considering the name of this nail salon I should’ve expected a “trix” and no treat. I’m writing a review as my friend did before I did and I echo her some complaints. Upon entering the nail salon, we were greeted with the ability to do a walk-in appointment, which was nice, but the gentleman at the first desk was extremely rude after I explained I wasn’t interested in doing a pedicure. He complained asking why and I said cause I just didn’t want to. I had gotten my toes done yesterday at my regular salon, but since my usual place was so amazing— I couldn’t even get time to do both because that’s how booked they are. This is why I shouldn’t have went somewhere else so I guess that’s my fault. I was then placed at the desk next to this rude gentleman who proceeded to keep looking as I was getting my nails done. The lady who took care of me was very rough after I asked her to cut the nails down as some of my nails were shorter than others. This of course did not happen and since she wasn’t able to understand me unfortunately she had no idea what I meant when I asked for shorter which I’m not putting on her at all. I just didn’t appreciate how rough and rushed I felt. I also didn’t like the looks and eye rolls my friend got for being understandably upset with her nails. My advice? Stick to your nail tech or at least while in a pinch give it more thought before spending a dime. No service no tip.
Instead— go to Joa Spa and Nails in Scranton: just call ahead for an appointment and you’ll never be disappointment. PLUSSSSS— you’ll spend less at Joa Spa and Nails as well because this place scammed me out of $55 for a miserable experience. That’s my nail salon and I will never make the same mistake again of going to another scam salon again. Also, silly rabbit, trix are for kids :)

Zero stars isn’t an option, so 1 star is the next best. I used to come here when I was in high school — first time back and it has certainly gone downhill. First, I got a pedicure, which was kinda decent, and the man was nice, so I’ll give him 3 stars. My issue was with the woman who did my full set. When I entered with my friend as walk-ins, I stated that I wanted a full set with regular nail polish (not gel) and they were already rolling their eyes. When the woman began to do my nails, I could already tell by her attitude and impatience that I was not going to be happy with my service. She rushed everything from start to finish. Normally, I am not one to speak up when I am unhappy with how something looks, but I was forced to when I saw that she was obviously inexperienced with doing french tips. I’ve had french tips done elsewhere and have been happy with the outcome, so when I saw her method of doing the tip, I was shocked, but (unfortunately) I tried to trust the process. I kept on asking her to make the tip thinner, to clean up the shape, and to round the edges — to which she kept replying “I know, I know” which clearly, I think the work speaks for itself, take a look at the pictures. She made snide remarks such as “I like gel polish better, easier to dry.” I told her that I wasn’t planning on even getting my nails done in the first place, so I thought that they would appreciate the business. I understand that regular nail polish isn’t the norm nowadays, but when you’re on a budget and saving money for a trip, I thought that it would be best for me. She kept getting annoyed that I would ask her to clean the shape, rolling her eyes, along with the other nail techs in there all looking over at me and my friend and rolling their eyes at us. I was initially hesitant to not leave a tip, but when I saw that my friend was also unhappy with her service (on top of the fact that there’s an $8 charge for take money from their ATM machine) we decided to leave without tipping. I am never one to do so, but I’m tired of places such as these feeling entitled to your money ESPECIALLY when they overcharge for terrible service, and expecting a tip. I am not proud to say that I paid $84 dollars for a pedicure and full set here, but here I am. Simply put, save your money and take it somewhere worthwhile.

I’ve been coming here almost 3 years and have only had one bad experience. If I do a tie polish, I would always choose Tina. Although I’ve been taking care of by Tom and Lucy, Cathy is my number one choice. I e recommend this place to so many people because you can’t go wrong! Their artistry is top notch and I’m always so happy with my results. Go here!

I was hesitant to come here due to the reviews but I’m glad I went with my gut I did my feet here I did the deluxe spa and it was really nice a guy did my feet I didn’t get his name but he took his time made sure I was good will be comming back again

This place does a terrible job. The people who work there are not friendly. If you have a comment about something you want fixed, they will give you an attitude about it. I don’t recommend this place. I asked if they could fix a nail and they said my finger was crooked, so that they wouldn’t have to fix it.

Never ever going here again. I should have known better. I tried to go here before and they closed over an hour early refusing to serve me. I decided to try them sunday and the service was terrible. I got a spa pedicure but the lady was sooo rough. She kept pinching my toes wen she tried to cut them. She actually cut my toe and was super rough. She burned me with the hot water after she scrubbed my feet. She put wax on my feet and left me there and went an entire pedicure on someone else. Start to finish. I got regular polish and she painted my toes grabbed my crocs thru them in a plastic bag pointed me to the counter to pay. I have never received such terrible service in my life!!!!! I wanted to do my eyebrows here and decided not to because i was treated so poorly. I tipped and she snatched the tip and walked off. Never ever going back here. I wasnt even given time for my nails to dry. And there were no customers waiting. My toes look terrible spotty and crooked it looks like i did them myself

This experience left me questioning why did I go there. I felt so bad about the way I was treated. I could have done a better job at home. I went in after a beautiful experience at Ulta Beauty only to be treated with disregard and rushed. My pedicure lasted about 10 minutes if that much and my manicure was done right at the pedicure station the same gloves was used. Honestly I've washed my hands longer the the time the service lasted. Not even a hand massage. Gone are the days when a service made you feel happy to spend your money. Poor poor poor service no tip was given. My $55.00 will hunt me. I paid to get treated so poorly ?

Came here for the first time 2 weeks ago. I had a good experience. Lenny did my nails and his sister Lucy did the flower design I wanted. I was pleased with how my nails came out. 2 weeks in my nails held up great. No issues at all

Went for a pedicure I've been coming to this place for years the lady thought my tattoo on the side of my foot was dirt or something scrubbed so hard she took skin off then when I told her to get me a band aid she asked me what happen to my foot , I can get a infection she did not clean the cut only put a band aid on it unreal. And it hurts !!! Other then that I enjoyed my service but next time don't scrub my skin off ? !!!

I would give them a 0 if I could. Me and two friends went and got our nails done, and not one of them looked good. They have no idea what they are doing. I went somewhere else to get them fixed, and they said out of all the nails they have seen mine were in the top 10 worst. We called them to tell them about how bad our experience was and they hung up on us. DONT GO HERE
