Absolutely awful program. Not spaced well. Staff is not willing to work with you when going through a hard time. Literally a waste of my time.

i have to give one star but if i could i’d give zero. Penn foster absolutely sucks. When i first graduated they said i would have the DIGITAL copy of my diploma in 2-5 business days. It was been two weeks now and i have not only yet to receive my digital copy but my physical copy is no where to be seen as well. Penn fosters courses suck. I was in all advanced placement classes when i was attending in person school, and i feel as though i have become stupider since attending online courses via Penn Foster. Safe yourself the money and the stupidity. These guys suck, and so does their customer service.

I sign up with this school for sterile process technician that certificate is luxurious 900$ lost and after you finish you they don’t care they so sweet on the phone to sign you up but if you thinking about this is your sign to not do it how you want students for certain programs and no job placement at all like please

Garbage school. It’s impossible to get in touch with anyone especially my clinical skills supervisor assigned by Penn foster, I have to email the generic school email instead of my supervisor saying someone will get back to me in 3 business days. Nobody is really there to help you get through the classes or ask questions to. They deny my clinical skills for the most ridiculous reasons making it impossible to pass in a timely manner especially for someone like me who has a full time job.

I was seriously considering enrolling in a program at Penn Foster, but I didn’t like the tone of the representative name Marissa! She was not very friendly and came across as impatient. It made me feel like I was bothering her just by asking for information. I really wish their calls were recorded for quality assurance because the lack of professionalism was disappointing. I decided to put the enrollment on hold!

I enrolled in the Travel and Tourism program, and back in December 2024 the website went through updates. I was locked out of my courses until February 2025. Once I got back in, 4 lessons from my program had been deleted. I had already paid in full for my course and requested a refund for those 4 lessons. I had to contact Consumer Affairs and they agreed to process a refund. Supposedly, a check was cut on 3/21/2025 and a month later I still have not received it. In what world does it take up to 8 weeks to receive a paper check? I'm waiting for a check when my card information is saved in their records. Don't waste your time; go to another online college. I had a much better experience with Ashworth College.

Penn Foster is one of the worst companies I have ever seen. Absolutely no customer service, and total misrepresentation of what they agreed to provide. Now, five years later, they dinged my credit saying I did not pay a bill when I was never able to start using their services.

Horrible school, you can’t get in contact with anyone. There is no way to reach out to your teachers unless you schedule an appointment which takes about a month to even speak with them and if they don’t grade your assignments in a timely manner then the rest of your classes will lock making you wait until they do grade the assignments to move forward. You also can’t call the student number because if you do you will sit on hold for 4 hours and never speak to anyone. Because god forbid you can speak to your teachers when you need help right there and then instead of waiting months to do a video call. Calling out Mrs. Lee, Mr. Shawn, and Mrs. Selina all English Teachers.

I would recommend this school. Instructors are very helpful and they want to see you succeed. They give you the push you need while helping you stay focused. My experience was awesome! Thanks Penn Foster Team!!!

Penn Foster has helped me in each career. I recently received a certificate as a security guard. I am hoping to get another security job. My former employer is unaware of my efforts. So, I forfeited graduation since Phelps security terminated my employment and I had stroke symptoms afterward.

I've been a student at Penn Foster for a couple years working on my associate degree. Honestly, there have been a few hick-ups but it is only due to somewhat vague instructions and the portal is ok, not great for navigation, but it works. Best part for me is I can study whenever I want. Haven't had issue with professors or replies from PF. After reading some reviews, have to say that a lot of the negative reviews are due to the lack of understanding what the student's commitment is and expecting everything to be hand fed to them. If you're going to be a student...then be the student, make sure you are responsible for YOUR schooling.
