Got these cans from the Grocery Outlet in Shillington and you can barely see the sell by dates. But.... We didn't check them before we bought and brought them home. My son went to open the first can and it had.... we actually had know idea what it was in the top. I had him open the second can, and the same results. Had to throw both of them away. But other than that, it's definitely is worth going to if you're on a budget. The prices of the name brand items are really good!

Can you guys start verifying somehow that items will ring up at the price point that is reflected on the labels in the aisles? It's happened multiple times now that an item is ringing up the wrong price and it's upsetting to discovered when I'm already home putting away my groceries that I paid 50% more for an item because the price is not correct in the system. For example, just yesterday this happened to me again, your buldak carbonara ramen cups are falsely advertised as being 77 cents each in the aisle however my receipt is showing I paid 1.29 each. It feels uncomfortable and inconvenient to have to check the price of each and every item that is being rung up.I also docked another star because of my first ever experience shopping here a few months back, the two people working the register/bagging mistakenly left a whole bag of groceries behind the register which contained an expensive plastic box of tide pods that my receipt shows I paid for - when I called to get a replacement and drove all the way back to pick up said replacement (so I was already like super inconvenienced here), the manager made me feel very uncomfortable as if I wasn't being honest about not receiving some of my items? However, they also handed me a bag of items and I told them the broth was mine but the bread was not and I gave that back, so clearly this grocery bag mix up was BEYOND me as another person was also affected by this mistake and was missing bread? It just felt very unprofessional that the manager would make a customer feel uncomfortable instead of reviewing the camera footage to confirm the whereabouts of the grocery items in question.

Prices are good, clean place and usually friendly employees. Last time there 2 girls at the same register finished checking out the people before me, then proceeded to converse with the person behind me in line. They didn't look at me or talk to me the whole time, didn't even look my way as they held the receipt out for me to take.Hopefully you can encourage your cashiers to be courteous to all, not just who they know

DON’T BUY MEAT FROM HERE. Every time I come here the meat section smells horrible. The dates are current but the smell doesn’t match. That means it isn’t being stored properly! Please fix this inconvenience.

I love this place. A bit of home (CA) for me. Go shop here first before you go to the regular grocery, which is highway robbery nowadays, espicially in PA, I am finding, and espicially Redners, dont go there. You save so much here. And could find so many cool things. It changes here and there. I really like it for when they have silk creamer ( I am vegan. So it is hard to find abything on the East Coast that isnt your whole paycheck). This place saved me so many times and I leave happy that I got bargains. Saving about $3 on silk creamer, about $3 on a bag of potatoes, you save so much. I cant say enough good things about grocery outlet and the value and freshness. The deals are really worth the drive. Please go, believe me, you will be glad you did.

As usual this is a fun shop after being in the business for over 30 years.. Picked up many "in and out item bargains" as well as some close dated .99c Pretzilla rolls that normally go for $3 -$4 depending on the store. They even carry garden supplies, flowers, soil and firewood too. The prices are very good, and the selection quirky, but I would cherry pick this store often if i lived in the area. The woman we seem to get often checking us out is always very friendly.

This place is exactly what the name would lead you to believe. It is a bargain outlet for grocery shopping. Can you find everything that you need at the lowest prices every trip? Absolutely, not. Can you find some of the stuff that you need to prepare meals for your families at a great discount most of the time? Absolutely, yes. This is the place that I always start my grocery shopping. You never know what they are going to have for sale in a given week, but what is on sale, is routinely very affordable. Some of the items that they usually have on the cheap: name brand items closing in on the expiration date, random off-brand items, name brand items with odd flavors like Philadelphia chipotle cream cheese... I'm just randomly coming up with examples, but you get the idea. They have many of the staples and name-brands that you might desire like Pepsi, Tide, Tostitos, Pop Tarts, Icy Tea, etc. at decent prices, but the main reason to go is their random sales and "last chance" discount bins. You can get some great bargains if you aren't super picky about exactly what you are shopping for. I've been going their for years and have only had 2 issues with purchases. The owner, Fayez, made good on both items without any hassle at all. 9.5 out of 10 in the bargain grocery category. A few of the staff have appeared to be a bit unapproachable, but I have never had a single staff member there be anything but helpful when asked. Keep up the great work. I'll keep on shopping!

We discovered Grocery Outlet years ago and seem to end up here every time we are traveling in the area and finally looked them up to find out they are part of a national chain out of California. They carry an interesting mix of unique items, that are discontinued, close dated, hard to find items, off brands, in and out items and many regular national items all at very discounted prices. They also have a fairly large selection of non food items too. Having been in the grocery business for over 30 years and seeing the prices and selection, I would make this a pretty regular stop if we lived in the Reading metro area. It is not like your typical grocery shop and you never know what you're going to find and can be a fun visit if you're in to this type of thing.
