I don't recommend Giant Eagle Slippery Rock because of awful customer service. When a company makes a promise to consumers they should keep it. Giant Eagle apparently is not keeping its promise, won't be honest with customers, and clearly does not care about animals.

Giant eagle needs to be transparent about its plan to source cage-free eggs. In effect they are deceiving consumers by promising to go 100% cage-free, but not showing any plan to take any concrete steps toward that goal.

I was just beginning my physical recovery as my training for the upcoming Battle of the Pelennor Fields had concluded. When I entered the store, my inner peace was alive and well. However, I felt most of it pass away as the cashier's death stare penetrated my soul. Even the organic monkey treats trapped between my fingers started to spoil. After not being greeted, I whipped out my credit card -- only to Discover that the card company was "down" in Giant Eagle's system. I had to source a paper bill out of my leather dollar diaper. Now, my account says the payment processed, so I paid for my food twice. What an utter disgrace.The ambiance of this place isn't at all shabby, but the lack of liveliness of the employees makes me feel so dead inside. I'll return, but only when I find my precious onion rings.

This store owner knows they are the only grocery store around and they jack up their prices. The college kids get taken advantage of the most. There's no student discount. I have to shop here during camp season and pay sometimes twice as much for items. Would love to see a Walmart or Aldi come to Slippery Rock and even the scales.

Was in town and needed groceries. For me, its nice going to giant eagle and have the same experience. (I did have to wear a mask) but everything else was the same. Got my produce, milk, eggs, icecream, chips, peanut butter etc like I've always had. Prices are a bit higher but staff do their job. I worked their in school. And see the staff working like i did. So for me i appreciate being able to get my groceries and check out like normal. They have some self check outs too. Which i do like to use. But only when i have 12 items or less etc. Easy choice to great groceries and get out quick enough that i dont feel the need to eat a bag of chips while waiting in line.

This is a horrible place to shop and work. Owners and management are not only sexist and racist, they are just downright terrible people. Save your money and go literally anywhere else.

This is a nice hometown store with a great selection of food and friendly staff. I appreciate that they have stuck by their mask policy to keep us all as safe as possible!
