I can't imagine being so cold to respond to a panicked woman covered in blood and mud that enters your office asking if there is any way you could help with a dog emergency by stating we are appointment only and we are booked. But that is the response I got this morning after my dogs got into a fight and the one was in a bad way. knowing I had the faculties to help a dog I don't think I could ever turn someone away. But maybe that is the norm of private vets. it is just sad. just the coldness of people who provide care to dogs sort of baffled me. they didn't even ask what happened. maybe see if they could provide some quick stabilization until I could get him to a higher level of care. But if you are for profit and heartless I guess that is how you would operate.

I am furious that I even have to leave one star. I trusted this office for years with my rescue pups only to find out that their incompetence has led to my pets suffering. First, Dr London performed and unauthorized surgery on my 6 year old Catahoula rescue that resulted in his death. I had consented to a stomach procedure to remove a foreign body. The surgery that occurred was on my dog's intestines which I adamantly was against due to the trauma from previous surgeries on that area. I was not contacted to be informed of the change in surgical procedure. Less than two hours after the office called my husband to inform him that our dog didn't survive, the office called to ask for payment. (May 2023). We have since relocated our other dog to a different vet that has discovered that our remaining dog has been Lyme positive and has kidney disease. We had previously had this dog tested for kidney disease at Spring Grove Animal Hospital and was told first that he did have kidney disease and to put him on prescription food - AND after another test were told that the first was a false positive and he just had a UTI (March 2023). I am furious at the neglect and over site of both of our sweet dogs. I would NEVER recommend this vet or Dr. London to any pet owner. Prior to 2023, our dogs saw Dr. Mack and we really felt taken care of but it isn't worth it to stay when we have had a year from hell full of confusion due to incomplete records, lack of communication & supervision, and chaos and are still dealing with the repercussions.

Took my dog here because everywhere else I took him they couldn’t seem to figure out what was wrong with him. The vet came in looked at him and told me what was wrong. The vets are fantastic and they truly care about the animals. I have 4 large dogs and no one wanted to put a muzzle on anyone of them. I love this office and the dogs love everyone too!

Careless CareToday one of our dogs was brought home bleeding all over the floor after a nail clipping at Spring Grove Animal Hospital. This is not the first time this has happened there. How does a pet care professional keep doing this? The refused to refund for the nail clipping which would have been the least they could have done. They offered to stop the bleeding if we brought her back. Completely unapologetic and unacceptable care. This will be the last time they get the opportunity to harm our pets. Beware of whomever is butchering if you take your pet here.

Our senior cat needed to be put down, but our regular vet didn’t have any appointments available. Spring Grove Animal Hospital was able to get us in right away. They went above and beyond to make sure her last minutes were comfortable and calm and they respected our grief. Their kindness, caring and compassion meant the world.

We took the family cat to be put down, which, as you can imagine is a very sad time. We are in the room crying, and the Vet comes in cracking jokes and trying to make us laugh. It's an awkward situation, I can only imagine it from his perspective. The main doctor is aged and must be losing his site and hearing, as it took him 3 attempts to actually put in the shot to end our poor cat's life. After that, he gave a false death when he was still clearly breathing. He took our cat out of the room, and when he brought him back, the cat was dead. All we wanted was to be with him in his last moments, not to be separated. Don't bring your animals here please.
