DO NOT SHOP HERE FOR PHONES — UNPROFESSIONAL AND DISHONEST
I placed an order online for a brand‑new iPhone and chose in‑store pickup. Despite ordering a brand‑new unit, they gave me a refurbished phone instead.
When I brought it back next day for a refund, they asked how I knew it was refurbished and threatened to charge me a restocking fee for them trying to rob me, as a refurbished unit is hundreds of dollars cheaper than the product I paid for in full.
They claimed that because the box was still sealed, it must have been new. I then showed them the screenshot below proving it was “Certified Pre‑Owned” when I tried to activate the phone. Without that proof, they were passing this product off as brand new and going to charge me a restocking fee. It felt like a deliberate loophole: they are packaging the used iPhones as new and essentially ripping off unknowing customers—by passing off pre‑owned devices as new ones. This is a new activation screen the store employees were shocked to see…
It smells like a scam. The store should be investigated for fraud.

This Best Buy usually has what I need when I need it (needed a new TV in a pinch and got one for a great post-holiday sale, replacement hard drives when one stops working, solid phone case for a brand new phone, etc.). The people working there are always nice and helpful (never had any issues). The only issue I have with Best Buy is that it seems they really, really want people to order ahead for pickup instead of in-store shopping and browsing. A lot of the items I shop at Best Buy for are locked in glass cases, and the only way to get these items is to scan the QR code and wait 15+ minutes for somebody to pick the items, so you can wait in line to have them ring out. I get why they have to lock items up, but it makes it hard to find what you need if you don't already know ahead of time. I figured this out by going in to browse and having to do the QR shopping method.
If you know what you need, save yourself some time and place a pickup order. The pickup order process is easy and usually very fast, so most times I go to Best Buy, I order ahead for pickup. I just park, walk in, and my stuff is ready to go. They even help you load your order in if it's anything large/bulky.

Best buy hates to see you walk in with a broken product that initially was bought from the best buy store. They expect you to buy new and that's it. Couldn't help me fix my laptop. Also HP SUCKS. I spent 1k on a laptop and the hinge broke off from the main screen and cracked the display. They said it's going to take a month to get it fixed and maybe I will get it back in proper working condition.
Also some how the laptop was not showing in the data base that I bought from them.
Like the old saying says, FOGETABOUIT.

Couldn't be more happy. On a Sunday I had an emergency. My mother's tv finally bit the dust. After 18 years. Ran in on Sunday with the tv and in less then 10 minutes I walked out with a new Samsung 32 TV. Thanks to the awesome customer service, my mom was up and running with her new tv, within the hour! THANK YOU SO MUCH
