A true foodie or super nuanced vegan can find something here that is not as easy to find at other stores if at all. I would expect only grains and dry things to be unique enough but I found pre-made cashew cream cheese which I thought I might have to go to whole foods or maybe a co-op for, and that is a big maybe. Could've done online or considered making my own but time is of the essence. I didn't want to "substitute" regular cream cheese because it would affect the taste and not be vegan. I am not vegan but a vegan could not even eat something I made with such a "substitution ". The label didn't say cashew milk on it and a store associate over the phone and in-person had to help me. I learned a lot on this day by adventuring randomly on my own food journey, and Martindale's was masterful to help out!

We used to have a positive opinion of this establishment, and I've been a customer here for over seven years. Initially, our experiences were consistently good, with the store staff being friendly and polite. Polite as we have always been, our recent experiences have been marred by the rude behavior of a particular staff member at the register, identifiable by their glasses and short hair. Although I generally strive to be polite, it seems that she consistently conveys a less-than-friendly attitude.During our last visit, my 7-year-old daughter greeted her, but she failed to respond. Politely, I conveyed that my daughter had greeted her, to which she responded with a belated apology, citing not having heard it. It's concerning that such rudeness is directed at customers, particularly young children.Additionally, I observed another reviewer raising similar concerns about this same employee. I hope the management team takes notice of these complaints and takes appropriate action. We make a considerable effort to visit this establishment from Delaware, and we hope not to encounter similar customer service issues in the future.

Such a great place to visit with many niche vegan products not carried by large chain retailers.
Must check it out for the sweet foods and cool people.

I am a regular customer at Martindales. I was always a happy customer. But from last year an old white lady with short hair and wears glasses is working there who is very very mean and rude to Asian people. Yesterday I was there with my husband and she was dealing with only one customer. When we get in the line, she asked one of her coworker to take us to another register and as usual she gave the mean look at us. I am really really hurt and dissatisfied by her behavior towards Asian people. I can see the hatred in her eyes. Even when I go there with my kids she always gives us that look and always ignore us. This is ? racism. It should stop.

I'm a huge fan of Martindale's Natural Market! This natural market has been around since the last 1800s, and they speicalize in fresh local food, organic items, and GF food. When you step inside, everything is organized so well and super colorful - the produce is amazingly fresh, and there are no blemishes in sight! The market also has bulk foods, groceries, freezer items, and even beauty/body care and vitamins towards the back. We ended up getting some ready-made wraps, spreads, noodles, and some chocolates. Staff are readily available for any assistance. This natural market is located in the Olde Sproul Shopping Village, and there's plenty of parking in the shared plaza lot. +great natural market! +plenty of parking in shared lot

I was looking for dulse everywhere, and finally found a bag at Martindale's. I also found Bragg's liquid aminos and a salt alternative-- dulse seasoning. Martindale's is the areas organic hard to find items, both fresh produce and packaged. And it's conveniently located--sproul village shopping center, Springfield, PA.

So many great reviews I have read. I always feel healthy just walking into Martindales. I got to return when I have more time to see all your healthy products.

This is an awesome alternative food market. It's what Trader Joe's should be. It's the place to get niche items like raw milk or food without seed oils.

This was my very first visit at this location and I’m amazed at the service rendered. All of the employees were so kind overall pleasant eager to assist. You don’t see customer engagement a lot in these times we live in. It’s a very inviting environment a feeling of comfort. I definitely will be returning. Thank you for the great experience.

I love this place I’ve been shopping here for two years and I’ve even got friends and family to start shopping here but Anna is not meant to be cashier she has no people skills and she doesn’t bag the right way. Maybe you guys can help her get on everyone else’s track!

Amazing little market. I wish I lived closer this would be where I shop all the time. Amazing “local” feel on the service. Keep doing what you’re doing!! More businesses need to take note!
