My groomer had to cancel due to the storm and power outage. My dog is 9.5 years old and has been groomed PLENTY of times.
As an emergency, I took her to PetSmart. I give Taylor credit as she executed what I wanted as far as far as boots for my cockapoo. BUT…
The grooming job was mediocre and actually below average. I paid over $100 because she charged a “dematting fee” for her ears, which could easily have been cut out. Looking closely at the cut… it is very poorly done. She’s very uneven. She said my dog “freaked out” getting her face and nails cut and I never heard that about her before and she’s 9 yrs old. Her nails are black and petsmart never gets it right with cutting her nails. So although the grooming included nails, they didn’t cut them. She has rashes from being cut too close in some areas. Her face is horrible…. I’ve done a better job grooming her at home. I wouldn’t bring your dog here unless it’s an emergency. Overpriced for super below average experience. Taylor is the one with the piercings on her face. The ultimate goals was to get her cut before the heat wave. Mission accomplished…

Extremely Disappointing Experience – Not Recommended
I visited the PetSmart shop in Springfield today with high hopes, but unfortunately, it turned out to be a deeply frustrating and unpleasant experience. The staff, especially some of the younger team members, were incredibly unhelpful, dismissive, and frankly, quite arrogant.
What was most shocking is the complete lack of customer respect — despite showing genuine interest in specific pets, we were told we couldn’t choose what we wanted. Instead, the staff insisted on deciding for us, as if we had no say in the matter. It felt like customers had no voice, no rights, and certainly no proper assistance.
The atmosphere was suffocating, made worse by the provocative and impatient attitude of the staff. Basic courtesy and calm communication were completely missing. A visit that was supposed to be joyful and heartwarming left us feeling disrespected and upset.
PetSmart seriously needs to reconsider how their staff interacts with potential pet owners. Choosing a pet is a personal and emotional experience — not something to be dictated by indifferent employees. I sincerely hope they take customer feedback seriously and improve both their service and attitude going forward.

I had an AMAZING experience with the staff at this specific store. I was greeted with smiles and no judgement. I’ve been researching and preparing to own a leopard gecko, there is always more to learn but I was finally ready. I started off at the broomall location, whom turned me down and told me to check “reddit” and then decide if I want it , but tried to sell me a Tarantula in the same sentence? I called springfield, and they said get here by 8:30 and we got you. They gave me everything I needed and got me out swiftly. Will be shopping here again!!!!

They carry the cat food my cat likes more regularly in stock. So thats a big plus for me.
I dont really go here for anything but that. So i cant speak on it.
But the store is alright

Today was the worst experience I had. I will never bring my dog there to be groom at. My do look a mess unfinish cut. All Christy can say I'm sorry she moves to much. You should have never started the cut

Took our dog to get groomed and they nailed it! Got his ears and tail perfect so that they don't end up dirty when he eats his food or when he goes to the bathroom!!!

Well I hardly ever take my dog into one of these places because I don't like the thought of he can get diseases like dog parks and things of that sort well I certainly was not disappointed every pole and end shelf he had to sniff but I did not let him because it was not cleaned properly. You would think a animal store that sells cleaning products for animals with at least know how to clean properly. That's why I do not take my pet in there and I recommend that you don't either. Other than that the place had what I needed is he one of the pick out a color the staff was friendly. And the prices were okay although I have seen prices cheaper elsewhere
