I prefer to stick with local businesses. Our insurance will only work with local businesses. And unfortunately my ONLY other alternative with in 1 hour of my home other than St. Marys Pharmacy, was online shipping. It took 3 different phone calls to get the prescriptions for my daughter acknowledged. First person would say, we will get your scripts from the other pharmacy and get back to you. Three people did that. And all three times each person had no idea I had even called and I would have to start over. She is diabetic!! The last and final straw. Tried to get diabetic supplies filled. I was told it would be filled the following week. Went to get it, nothing there. So, apparently the person that said it would be in next week was wrong. Their "wholesaler" doesn't supply this widely used diabetic supply. But they told me it was an "uncommon" supply. Hmmmmm. I told them it would have been nice of them to call and let me know my daughters life dependent supplies could not be supplied by them. Then.....it gets better. After that I tried to fill it online through my insurance company...I couldn't. Because it was filled in their records by St. Marys Pharmacy. I called the pharmacy. Apparently, after they told me they couldn't provide it to us.....they then "forgot" to reverse it. Are you joking? I'm VERY frustrated. Good chance all of our maintenance medications will no longer be provided through them due to this incompetence. So disappointed.

It's a fine place I guess things bit pricey but small local businesses usually are I get it, what bothers me is the wait time I spend in line. I stood for twenty minutes there was a single person in front of me just saying.

Pharmacy is a joke I’m being charged double at this pharmacy than other ones I will be switching pharmacies. The pharmacist was so ignorant making comments about the amount of pills I’m prescribed(talk about making someone feel embarrassed) you don’t know me to judge me by the type of medication I’m prescribed what kind of business allows their employees to treat customers like this. Also when I got my prescription home several pills were busted into small pieces.

This pharmacy has really really improved. Most of the staff are great. Mike, the pharmacist is so good to the patients as well. And Ellie who works in the pharmacy is absolutely amazing. My son died on Monday and they made sure I got the meds I needed and fast. The new staff has made a huge improvement to this pharmacy and I would recommend them to everyone. Happy holidays to you all at smp. You guys are doing an amazing job and never get enough credit. ❤️

I want to send a special shout out to the team including Julie Lang , Jen ONeill , Karrie Williams , and Jeff Mann. They went above and beyond to help me with everything in assisting me with getting my CPAP yesterday. It is truly amazing what a good nights sleep with the equipment you need to do. HIGHLY RECOMMEND this team and would not consider ever using anyone else!! PS: cannot say the same about the Penn highlands team and my soon to be ex doctor.
