This place is a hidden little gem. The bar food we had was good. The staff was very friendly. The room was clean and updated. We had the entire lodge to ourselves for the night. The room could use some better / brighter light bulbs. They had a game room and fireplace in the lodge with breakfast items we could grab in the morning. We will return here when visiting the area in the future.Rooms: Clean and cozy room. Could use better or brighter lighting. Room was very quiet.Noteworthy details: They had a game room and fireplace in the lodge with breakfast items we could grab in the morning.

Just had our wedding at Foggy Mountain, and it was the most beautiful day!!! Karen made wedding planning easy, and everything went off without a hitch. We had our ceremony under the Pavilion, which was the perfect amount of space for a larger group. The reception in Walnut Hall allowed for plenty of space to dance and celebrate. Bartenders and servers were awesome. Food was delicious! They lit a bonfire for us after the reception, so the fun could continue once the reception ended. (A wedding here is very affordable, too!!)The lodging was also reserved for our party until about month out from our wedding date, so we were able to have our friends and family stay with us throughout the weekend! Chestnut Lodge has the larger suite rooms, and these were the perfect space to get ready for the big day.The restaurant/bar remained open throughout the weekend, but this let all of our friends and family get to enjoy more time together, and the restaurant has a nice outdoor patio with heaters. Finally, the property and surrounding scenery are just beautiful and well maintained. This lead to some awesome photos. If you're looking for a wedding venue, look no further than Foggy Mountain! :)

Foggy Mountain is a beautiful setting for a wedding. My daughter and son-in-law got married here and it was a great day. The outdoor pavilion provided open air views to the gorgeous Fall day. The reception hall has a beautiful fireplace to decorate, which served as a lovely focal point behind the sweetheart table. The food was delicious and the wait staff and bartender were very attentive to everyone. Things ran very smoothly. All of this is headed up by Karen, who is truly passionate about what she does. A good time was had by all those in attendance!

Outstanding service! Brandon and his team provided phenomenal service and a great hunt! I would highly recommend this guide service to any hunting experience level. I wish I could leave more than five stars as our group was very satisfied with our experience!

Stopped by for lunch.Waited 15 minutes and no hostess or waiter.Left.Owner in response calls me a liar.I have never been here before and will never be back.Yelp has this place highly rated and given other lunch options mc d and dairy queen. So we gave it a shot.In end we at at dairy queen and while the shakes were good the burgers suck.My recommendation is not to stop at this exit for food.Only bad options here for the wiery travler.

Such a beautiful location! Our room in one of the buildings across from the main restaurant wasn't much to speak of though unfortunately. Pretty basic and a little awkwardly laid out. And expensive as well. Don't think we'll be staying again considering all the other Airbnb options in the surrounding area. The food and service has unfortunately gone downhill. We've been going here for years when we're in the area visiting and during this past trip we didn't have a single decent meal which was very disappointing considering the prices have really gone up and the service was nowhere near what it used to be although I have to say, our server was trying very hard.Oh well, we'll be back in the spring and we'll give them another try. Hopefully whatever kinks are in the works will get worked out. This at one time was one of our favorite places to eat in the area and would've rated a solid 4 stars at least.

I'm not really into bad reviews due to the fact this is someone's bread and butter. Having said that, I will not stay at this lodge again, EVER. First we were left with 1/2 a roll of toilet paper for two people for two nights!! No phone in our room to request a roll. Secondly, lighting was really bad and no mini fridge. The TV was difficult to use even after putting in a profile. One last but most importantly, we booked a double bed, the mattress was so old it slanted in the middle of the bed therefore my husband and me were banging into each other all night long and we both looked like turtles on our backs trying to get out of it. As comical as it sounds, this room was NOT WORTH THE COST. Therefore we will no longer be staying at his lodge, once was enough. The only nice thing I can say about this the surroundings are beautiful.
