Coffee Hemp & Tea is a mom and pop artisanal coffee shop that feels like the best hug, full of care, creativity, and grandma energy. It offers Puerto Rican and Caribbean style coffees, teas, drinks, and treats, alongside Indian Masala Chai, drinks, and snacks. The shop carries a variety of hemp products from Rhodes Farm, including hemp teas, hemp coffee, flower, gummies, edibles, and dog treats. The family-run business grows its own hemp and produces its hemp products, with personal relationships with the coffee farmers for unique beans not often sold in the US, giving it all a very personal feel. The flavor options are unique and delicious, featuring items like strawberry shortcake iced coffee with homemade syrups and praised hemp espresso. The tea is also great, with specific recommendation for the passion fruit tea. The care with which drinks are made is notable. Alongside drinks, they have pastries and the usual coffee shop fare. The space includes board games, books, comfy seating, and an outdoor area with a tent. It is a warm and welcoming spot, providing a quality experience that stands out in State College.
I've visited CHT, and so enjoyed their Chai, which I believe one of the super nice co-owners referenced being made freshly and imported from a family business (in India I think he said?). Great experience and positive energy! I'm excited to try their food!
