Great location and very friendly employees. But the air conditioner in the room was extemely loud and vibrating, there was only one coffee pod provided, and the water pressure in the shower was almost non-existant. Proximity to campus and College Ave are great - but the room could use some maintenance.

Isabelle, Karl, and Breana delivered top notch service. They embody what the hospitality industry should be about.Rooms: Queen and King rooms are spacious. No microwaves in any rooms. One located in food common area.Nearby activities: Situated downtown. Across from MLK Plaza, a beautiful monument to Civil Rights. Penn State Campus, Museums, Military Sites, Ski site, CavesSafety: Pretty safe.Walkability: Two garages across from hotel. Very convenient. Bagel shop across. Target and Starbucks adjoined.Food & drinks: Hard to find anything past 10pm. A few late night spots open till 2AM if you like pub/bar/eateriesNoteworthy details: The atmosphere is college town. Pedestrian friendly.

Great location for walking around. Really kind staff who seem to genuinely want to help. The only complaint I have is that there is no microwave in the room. I had to eat my leftovers cold out of the fridge because who wants to walk down to the breakfast area at midnight?

This was our second time here.Easy check-in, great parking, location is great. Room was very clean. Room fridge is so cold! Beautiful bar in lobby and Federal Taphouse is attached. You don't even have to go outside if you need any last minute/forgotten items as this Hyatt is attached to Target. Absolutely zero complaints!

Hyatt State college absolutely disgusting!? 1st they didn’t honor the reservation ( king bed)-they knew I was a late arrival and confirmed my room the night before…. Arrived in room and two queen beds…. Called front desk and they said they have no others available…. So much for the confirmationblood on mattress…holes…. Sheets and blankets . Because we arrived late, they had no alternative rooms available….Given my professional background, I just couldn’t sleep in the bed…. Too late for a late switchSlept with one eye open thinking why am. Sleeping here….Contemplated sleeping in the car but wife said no. Let’s just get through this….Never again…. Avoid Hyatts…..worst was when the provided replacement sheets, the cover was ripped… when I pointed out the filth all the front desk clerk said was I’m so sorry….wow…. Just wow?

Great location, and life savers for our vacation to State College. Very clean room, very nice staff. Very nice building. I love Hyatt on the occasions I've stayed with then, and this is no exception.

Not the best Hyatt Place. Not the worst. It’s suitable for a stay. Importantly, I haven’t been to other hotels in the area and cannot compare. Therefore - this is likely a safe but not-spectacular choice for the price point. Nice breakfast and convenient parking. 4 stars.

Hyatt Place is our go-to spot for visits to Penn State. We always check their availability first before making any decisions. Hands down, it is the best location in State College - right downtown and just blocks from campus. The rooms are comfy, the front desk is always fully staffed with friendly folks, parking is right across the street, and the free breakfast is plentiful and tasty. Lots of dinner options nearby.Five Stars all the way!

I left my airpods under the pillow and it was accidentally taken with the sheets to the laundry room. A cleaning staff member found my airpod case, however, there was a missing airpod. The staff went above and beyond and immediately began to look for it and they found my missing airpod! They were also kind to offer to ship it back to my home. Exceptional customer service!!!

Very clean rooms. Pretty good breakfast but the OJ was watered down and kind of gross. Standard food options compared to other Hyatt places. Great location. Parking is $12/night with unlimited in/out privileges. Comparable pricing to other hotels in the city. Would stay here again.
