I went to the State College store waited 45 minutes in the cabinet section and never got waited on so I left they do not have enough workers in the store so I will be going to Home Depot

Needed some t-nuts and they sent us to ace hardware when all we had to do is go to home Depot 😁...think will go there first next time!!

Terrible experience here with a window installation. The store manager, Josh, is an enigma; he apparently runs the place but it took me many many times of calling and stopping there to ever speak with him. When I finally did, he was uncaring and unapologetic for the subpar finished product, months of delays, misinformation and downright lies I was told by several of the other managers of this Lowe’s (Sharon and Ryan specifically passed along blatantly false information and never followed up despite assurances they were handling the matter). The store manager stated, “I’ve worked for Lowe’s for a long time. When we screw things up, we tend to really really screw it up”. Would highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. This was among the largest individual purchases my wife and I have ever made in our lives beyond our house and vehicles; to have it botched at every level and to feel like even the store manager had zero concern for you issue was extremely disheartening to say the least. They were happy to cash the whole check and say they’ll handle every aspect from purchase to installation, but when something goes wrong you’ll spend hours of your life learning about how Lowes does business and why it’s someone else who messed up this time. Won’t be returning to this location for anything, let alone trusting them to complete any type of large project. I will say; Larry the installer at least set clear expectations and followed through. My opinion is that he is severely over extended by Lowe’s. Also, Adam, another manager, was great at his job. He was among the only managers I spoke with that I actually felt possessed some level of empathy for how Lowe’s handled the entirety of this installation.

If you are a frequent Home Depot shopper, don't expect the same friendly experience from it's staff at Lowes. You're too much of a burden for most of the employees here.

Really helpful staff and sometimes their prices are better than Home Depot. As a new homeowner I'm new to all of the maintenance and projects and am still learning a lot.
The push pin shower diverter stopped working. I went to get a replacement part and while I could have just looked up a tutorial on YouTube, one of their employees walked me through exactly how to replace it and explained why it's easier to just replace the diverter than convert the push pin diverter to a more modern shower handle. They could have upsold me on a whole new shower fixture and made a lot more money, but they instead took the time to help me find the easiest most affordable option and walk me through all of the steps to replace this $5 part.
My only gripe about Lowe's is their customer service is frozen in 1995. I understand this isn't this local store's fault and is on the corporate side of Lowe's to address. The only way to reach out about an online order is via phone. Home Depot offers chat, text and email support. I found an error with one of my online orders and it would have been much faster and easier to just send them screenshots showing thus vs. try to discuss it over a call.

When we went to Lowe's to purchase a timer, we were not aware of the new member's deal they had. When we went to check out, the girl at the register was very helpful. She explained everything and how we could sign up right now and take advantage of the discount right away. More people need to be understanding and patient, and they will keep customers. It was a pleasure to do business and be able to save money all at the same time.

I first want to say the employees at Lowes are great, anything i might say that isnt great is about the corporation itself, not the employees. Im sick of the corporations that try to comr against our way of living, and during covid when everyone else had to stay home magically they were open. 2nd, its like well if your not very well aka rich you cant shop here. I needed a chainsaw and they wanted upwards of $500 for a chainsaw. Now i understand market dictates price also but most of their prices for anything decent are crazy. Getting ready to buy a 61 inch vanity and sink, $1000. This isnt top of line with a marble top this is just run of thr mill stuff. Can anyone explain how some cheap would nailed together constitutes that price tag, and thats how i feel about all of it and all of Home Depot, you cant even buy a gasoline anything at Home Depot so at least Lowes has a few gas items. This world is going ridiculous and Lowes has followed suit. I wish all Americans just stopped buy anything that isnt neccessity till we see them lower prices or fight back some way some how

One thing I like about this Lowes is that they hire women and older workers--all of whom seem to know how to "do it yourself." Very enjoyable to go there and learn something new.

Generally a busy and overworked store. The paint department has delays especially - recently I was told there would be a lengthy wait on a Friday early afternoon to get any paint mixed. I asked how long and was told I was 4th to serve. I left without paint, as I think the employee was hoping, and will attempt another store at another time.
