Went in to buy a hamster, asked an employee, her first name started with M, for assistance in adopting a hamster. Mind you I already have the cage and a running wheel for my other hamster in my hand. As I’m speaking to her she looked at me and said that she do not recommend the cages I got for the hamster. I understand that she can give her suggestions/opinions. But she needs to understand when someone is unwilling to take her suggestions because at the end of the day these are my hamsters and I can choose to raise them however I feel like, as long as I’m not harming them. Mind you, even the boxes have instructions and labels on them that says they are for small animals, including hamsters. Overall, she was unwilling to allow me to adopt the hamsters because of the fact that she believed that the cage was not fit for these hamsters. So, I asked her which would be fit for these hamsters in her opinion, in which she said to me that the glass tanks for fish were good for the hamsters. These glass fish tanks are only 10 inches longer in length with the same width and height. I expressed that I was unwilling to buy what her recommendation, and instead of respecting my decision and continuing to helping me adopt a hamster she just stood there in silence, and expressed that she did not want me to adopt the hamster. At this point, I was already in the store for over an hour, and I was already upset and in disbelief by her lack of motivation to help me, so therefore, I said it was OK and I proceeded to leave the store in which then an older gentleman saw me in the distress and in a lack of a good mood and asked if everything was OK. I expressed to the older gentlemen of everything that had happened. Thankfully he said he will help me in the process of adopting hamster in which he brought me the paperwork and the hamster. But at the same time that he was helping me with the hamster, the same lady from above was telling me how she was not going to sell a hamster to someone who was unfit to raise a hamster, mind you I have over 30 hamsters and I have over three years of experience in raising hamsters. I do not need someone who does not know me to accuse me of anything. She then brings on the fact that she has her own Syrian hamster and she knows how to raise the hamster, that’s great and all, but I did not ask. At the end of the day, I felt that the whole process with her overshadowing me with her ideals of how to raise a hamster was not necessary, and the fact that she didn’t help me in the adoption process just because I did not agree with her viewpoint on which cage I should put the hamster in was absurd. At the end of the day it wasn’t a friendly experience at all and it almost felt like she was having a competition with me in who has more experience in raising hamsters. I am never coming back. But I appreciate the older gentlemen who helped me, at least the one hour was not wasted.

Way better prices on goldfish than our local Petco. The staff are also nicer here and seem much more down-to-earth. We bought a fish for around $5 that would have been $100 at Petco.

This is a great store with helpful staff And they now keep their betta fish in the community tanks! Bettas are inquisitive and thrive in community settings and dont belong in tiny cups. Good for them!!

Prices a little higher compared to some other local spots but the selection is great and they always have coupons and promotions going on.

Seriously though, store is large, staff are kind, you can order what you need for pickup if you'd like and if not it's never really too busy.

Up until today, I told everyone to come here whenever possible. It’s a Great Store, so this review is only about the rudest groomer I’ve ever encountered. This was a treat for my lab (and myself) and came at the perfect time since I have to put my husky down tomorrow :(
Please know that they have a 5 minute cancellation policy not stated when you book your appt so if you are even 3.75 minutes late, they will screw you. I traveled an hour each way and had to book 6 weeks in advance. It’s the 21st-century, so I know that my GPS said I would be there at 1:02. I walked in the store at 1:03 for a 1 o’clock appointment. However, There was someone else in front of me so I couldn’t check in until the other patron left. While I was waiting I became anxious and let the receptionist know I wasn’t late, but she shooed me off.
Then Cruella de Groomlin came out of the back, without any courtesy, kindness, or empathy whatsoever, looking flustered and angry. She told me she wasn’t going to argue with me, and that I had to reschedule. She also told me she “didn’t even have my rabies information” and it was literally in my hand BECAUSE it states online to BRING IT WITH YOU when you make your appointment. By this time it was 1:08, and she walked back to her torture chamber without even considering the ramifications of her tone.
I would have understood had she been the slightest bit nice. Everyone’s going through a hard time right now. A little courtesy or kindness would go a long way. I highly recommend you don’t bother trying the grooming service booked months out so you don’t have an experience that leaves you in tears.

Love going to my neighborhood Pet Supplies Plus store on North Atherton . I find the people helpful and kind. The prices are good and they have a big variety of items to choose from. The cashier also has a cat and helped me with the pet grass I wanted to buy. Also found a cat toy I was tracking on Amazon for less and I had a coupon as well. I’m always happy to buy local.
