The State College Veterinary Hospital staff provided excellent care for my senior dog, Tess, who had multiple health conditions in her golden years. I will always be especially grateful to Christa, Alyssa, and Dr. Shoemaker for their kindness and support on my beautiful girl's last day. Thank you all for your years of compassionate care for Tess. <3

I wish I could give them more than five stars! We took our Labrador there and she is a scaredy cat. She is very timid. They did an outstanding job with her! All the ladies who helped trim her nails and administer her rabies vaccine were just amazing; they were so upbeat and pleasant! I plan on taking my other dog there. Pricing seemed very reasonable to me as well. I just can't say enough nice things.

Christa at front desk was extremely disrespectful and unprofessional upon entering the office. Was met with no greeting, instead was asked disrespectfully who we were and that it was our fault for not calling / expecting to get seen for our appointment on time. I never leave reviews, but I was taken about by the pure disrespect.

Had an awesome experience with this vet! Everyone was so nice and accommodating. Dr. Guffey informed me with everything I needed to know and the vet techs made sure my cats were as comfortable as possible. Would definitely recommend and glad to have this as my vet!

I absolutely love the staff at State College Vet. Having a sick kitty is never fun, but they have been more than patient with answering my questions, helping get me scheduled, and figuring out the best treatments & way to care for my cat. Scheduling has not been an issue for either of my animals. The vet has always taken the time to hear my concerns and provide education, which I greatly appreciate.

I love this place. We take both are cats here and i always feel like they’re in good hands. The vet techs always take the time and have patience for both my boys. I can’t recommend this place enough.

Dr. Locker has been caring for our pets for over 25 years. Needless to say, if State College veterinary Hospital wasn’t any good we would not take our treasured pets there, and they are treasured pets.

I highly recommend bringing your furbabys here. Dr. Guffey was very knowledgeable and very kind. She and her assistants were so good to my kitty. I left there feeling I'd found a vet for life! Also, their prices are very reasonable and they carry a lot of different products. Thank you again for helping my Boo kitty.

My Syrian hamster grew a sudden cyst and was unable to eat, drink, and exercise. It was roughly 1/3 the size of his body...he's young and even though he's a hamster, I wanted to make sure he wasn't in pain. They fit me in the same day and performed minor surgery to remove the impacted material and stitched him back up. They walked me through the whole process and demonstrated post op care. They saved my hamster and my sanity, never making me feel silly for bringing a rodent to the vet. I literally could not recommend this hospital more

Hands down Kocher is the best vet. She has tons of experience and also constantly cites newest research. She's aware of new treatments, trends and options (example - injections for dog's joints). I heard of her from other locals who've had dogs for 15 years when I moved here and am happy I picked her then. The office never 'forced' or suggested 'extra tests' as some vets would to make more $. Her surgical skills are superb - she's done hip surgery on a friend's dog and growth removals on mine. And they do everything for the dog. Example: 2 vet techs and the DVM were crawling on the floor to remove sutures from my dog's paw to avoid unnecessarily sedating him.
