I booked a room on October 22nd and planned to check in on December 15th. Because my plans changed, I tried to change my check-in time online on Nov 26, but found that I couldn't change it. So I contacted the hotel and was told that the hotel would be closed starting December 1st. I was asked cancel my booking. I didn't get any emails or phone calls about the hotel closing. If I hadn't changed my schedule today, it would be unimaginable how terrible it would be for me to drive 6 hours to the hotel with my young children and find out that I couldn't check in. Very irresponsible hotel management. too bad!

Great resort! Going through renovations currently. Two hour drive from Pittsburgh for a sports banquet. We all liked the hotel, pool, and dining areas very much.

Quick day golf trip. This was one of the most pristine courses I've played on. You'd think it was a private country club with how well it was run and the everything you encounter for golf. The course is immaculate. The practice area for range with golf balls at each station, practice chipping, and putting were beautiful. Yardages on the range for ease. The course itself is well maintained and beautiful scenery. Greens are challenging as all heck, and I was pre-warned. Pro shop staff, Arthur and starter Jim, were extremely kind and welcoming. Thank you very much for making my day of golf perfect that much better. Golf carts are electric and in amazing shape. Super comfortable. Sand traps were fluffy and well groomed. Two bathrooms on the course itself on hole 7 and I want to say 14..?. As a female, I thank you kindly. ? I can't wait to return to this course, and I'm bringing more friends to experience what I was raving about.

The restaurant is located in a golf resort so you have to look for it..BUT well worth looking for. Great food at a very reasonable price. The waitress was really nice and brought our food out quickly with great conversation. Again food was really good and did not have sticker shock when the bill came. Nice change ?

Stayed here this past week for one night. Building and rooms are really dated. Bed was comfy for the most part but sloped downward so you're head was lower than the rest of your body which was annoying. Bathroom was the worst - toilet rocked back and forth and was very low to the ground. The shower was super old and the floor felt like it was going to fall through. No microwave in the room. AC got cold but took a long while. Room actually did have a suitcase rack which was nice! Haven't seen one in so long. I did not go to the Field for any meals so I can't remark on that. Front desk staff was great, I left my key in the room and it was an easy ask to get a new key. Plenty of parking.

I would highly recommend Toftrees as an event space for a high school class reunion. The tent in The Meadow is spacious and elegant. Guests raved about the delicious food. Event coordinator, Katie Clegg, was amazing to work with and took care of our every need.

Yes, this is a fake bug. The problem is that somebody who works at Toftrees came into our room and put it there in the middle of our stay. When I spoke with management about it, I was upset, and the supervisor laughed at me. He said that only people who work there could have gotten into my room and “it wasn’t me.” He gave an apology, but it was offered in a very “it’s my job, so I have to apologize to you, but I really just think you’re an idiot“ sort of way.Besides someone on staff thinking it’s funny to put fake bugs in people’s rooms, the place was also old and musty. I would recommend staying somewhere else.

Great location, beautiful golf course, hotel has great food... just a bit outdated, but nothing to keep us from returning. The Fields restaurant food is really really good, and the restaurant itself is cute. Friendly staff. The hotel itself needs a bit of an update, but I believe I heard that they are doing that soon. Very clean, hotel staff was extremely nice.

- Cable TV service did not work for 2 of the 3 days I stayed. - The WiFi signal was weak and frequently dropped. - The front desk did not answer their phone when I called from my room or when I called a few days after I left. - There was billing issue. I reserved and paid for the room through a travel agent. However Toftrees also charged my credit card when I checked out. They did not answer when I called about it. I am disputing the charge. - The facility is a little run down.

- The room was clean and adequate. Two double beds, dresser, desk, chair. There is a hidden refrigerator in the dresser. The bathroom was decent - plenty of towels and wash cloths.- Cable TV service did not work for 2 of the 3 days I stayed.- The WiFi signal was weak and frequently dropped.- The front desk did not answer their phone when I called from my room or when I called a few days after I checked out.- There was billing issue. I reserved and paid for the room through a travel agent. However Toftrees also charged my credit card when I checked out. They did not answer when I called about it. I am disputing the charge.- The provided clock radio was not plugged in and there was not an available outlet to pug it into. The provided USB charger does not accept USB-C cables. I'm glad I brought an adapter.- The facility is a little run down.-There is an outdoor pool which I did not use.-Their main attraction is a golf course but I did use it so can't comment.

Food and service at Field restaurant was excellent. AC in room was too loud and cold and not able to control. Bed was a little uncomfortable and should upgrade to queen size. Refrigerator worked well. Room in general could use some upgrade and is outdated.

Golf course is a great design and in top condition. The Field restaurant was great also with huge portions. Only negatives: a dirty shower curtain and need more charging ports for electronics. We enjoyed our stay here - and got some Berkey Creamery ice cream on the way home - 10 min from Toftrees.

Comfortable, ample parking and away from the crowds but right off the main highway. Slightly old decor but great service, pool, golf, The Field restaurant has great food and they have family size suites. Decent pricing too!

Hotel was perfect for what we needed it for, a 1 night stay to take my soon to be college Senior on summer college tours. Good price, solid room, a tad outdated and dark, but, its a room, beds were comfy, good TV, bathroom was clean. Front desk were very nice and welcoming. I have two issues, one is my quote "view". Now overally not a big deal, i didnt go there for the view, but per the website "enjoy the view from your private patio or balcony". Now I had a private patio, yes, which gave me an uphill view of the front bumper of dozens of cars in the parking lot. So yes, i could privately stand or sit outside on this patio, but it wasnt private and a saw nothing by license plates. Again, not a big deal, but i think important to mention, as it was a touch misleading. Second, doors are incredibly thin...now overnight it was quiet, this isnt a party hotel, but literally 2 rooms down and across the hall a couple were lets saying engaging in some private fun that rivaled pornographic movies and lets just say, neither a word, groan, motion or whatever was being down was missed by anyone on my side of the hotel. Several us walked outside our rooms and looked at each other, laughed and went on our way. Might as well just done it in the hall, i could hear it in the hall and in my room, again 2 doors down and across the hall. Checkout was quick, sleep was fine, shower was fine. I would go back, but would suggest thicker doors and a more realisitic advertisement of the "views"

All staff that we interacted with at the front desk, in the pro shop, and at the restaurant were extremely friendly and helpful. The course was in great shape. The Fields restaurant offered many unique menu items and everything we ate was delicious. Their alcoholic drinks were WAY overpriced, though ($9 for a Smirnoff vodka and water). The rooms are very outdated as well. The shower was rounded out on the bottom making it uncomfortable to stand in.
