Their team seemed to be inconvenienced by my prospective business and made sure to inform me of how unaccommodating they are (thankfully before I had to make a payment). Luckily there are other moving vehicle rental services available in the area so they don’t have to be inconvenienced by customs during off seasons.

Great customer service and a quick and easy experience. Thanks!

Quite possibly the rudest and most unhelpful customer service I have ever experienced. The fully grown adult man behind the desk has the temper of a 5 year old and needs his attitude checked. Apparently he’s been there for 20 years which gives him the right to call customers “stupid” and to hang up on them. I guess you can say whatever you want when your daddy owns the place…. Pathetic

The worker thinks that because he worked at UHaul for 20 years he can be rude and not answer questions and hang up on customers.U-Haul, you disappointed me, you were extremely rude, and the workers at this location need to get out of any service industry and work in their lonesome. They gave me less than a quarter tank and I needed to fill up TWICE to get from Centre county to Lancaster county and the guy told me I was stupid for not reading all the information before agreeing. (trust me I get that that is frustrating from a workers end, but you should have taken the time and helped me rather than calling me stupid). In summary, they didn’t give me enough gas, called me stupid, interrupted me multiple times to yell at me, hung up on me, and were overall very rude.I would rather make a trip 6 times back and forth with my camry to move than ever have to associate with the miserable soul I had to talk to today.

Service was a bit slow, but they had a business cat so that was great! Once we got waited on it was smooth, fast and hassle free.

U-Haul affiliate Nicholas Stoicheff of Stoicheff Auto, State College, PA, is a problem. Look at reviews from different sites, and you will find his rude, indifferent behavior with many customers. And the trouble is, he does not care about the experience, or any help needed. He certainly does not care about the U-Haul Brand. This location needs to be removed as an affiliate..Nicholas Stoicheff cost me time and money. To keep this short, his answers to my questions simply were not true. Based on what I learned from this guy, I changed to a POD delivery which then only required a simple one-day UHaul rental to the facility. It cost me over $1k more, and U-Haul lost about $500 in income. But I thought at the time he was at least telling the truth. When I came to pick up the truck, he said that I could not leave my car in his ample lot. And he was still fricken rude. They just don’t like this U-haul business - they are a repair shop. He sent me packing to the Benner Pike State College, PA store without an explanation. I told him I thought he was rude and wanted his name. That’s when he said it was a family business – he was the kid. This “kid” is squandering the family name. Maybe that doesn’t matter because the previous complaints would have helped solve this if the parents had cared. But it does matter to customers and U-Haul. At least, it should. And only a few days later I found out that what Nicholas told me was not true. This month, I have had the privilege of working with U-Haul Colorado Springs and U-Haul Benner Pike. These were highly positive experiences. Nicholas Stoicheff does not give two shakes about the U-Haul Business or customers. Because it looks like that snot-nosed punk will not be leaving soon, I strongly suggest that U-Haul leave Nicholas Stoicheff Automotive in State College, PA.

Rude and disrespectful people work in this place. They lack basic communication skills. Avoid this place if you have other options.

Horrible service and incredibly rude! Do not rent from them. I had 3 interactions with the guy with the Napoleon complex. You'll know who he is when you enter. The first time when I called to ask if I could rent the U-haul for multiple days and he literally yelled at me saying that he has other people he has to rent to. What difference does it make if I pay for multiple days or 10 other people pay for the same thing. But whatever. I let it go. Then I reserved a truck for 24 hours to help my daughter move. When I came in to pick it up, he was speaking to everyone in the most condescending tone. When it was my turn, I gave him everything he asked for and then he said I had to move my car out of his parking lot before he would rent the U-haul to me. I explained that I'll need to get my daughter to help me and will be back, but he refused and told me to move it or he won't rent the truck. It was raining and the only place I could move it to was across the the busy street (N. Atherton). I moved it, ran across the busy street and came back in soaking wet, then waited till he was done with other customers. He went over the paperwork in the most rude and unpleasant tone and acted like he's explaining quantum physics to me. I used the truck for only 7 hours and brought it back late at night after they were closed. I couldn't do the mobile return because my phone died so I figured I'd bring it back the next morning. As I'm driving at 9am to drop off the keys, he calls and yells at me - literally in the most aggressive rude tone - "Where are the keys?!!". I said I'm on my way. Then he says condescendingly "So you dropped off the truck without the keys?" And I said "Yes, the phone died." So unpleasant, crappy attitude, dirty store, no USB ports in the U-haul to charge phones and his negative attitude was highlighted by the banners in his store window. See picture. Never again will I rent from him. I'd rather pay double than deal with him.

The person who runs this place apparently claims to be conservative. But he hasn’t learned a basic principle of conservatism: being polite and welcoming.

Unwelcoming. I tried this place multiple times, and every time the guy was rude. Unfortunately, no other Uhaul nearby in State College.
