I have been visiting the salon at Ulta Beauty for many years. The entire staff is kind, professional and fun to be around.
Maddy Beard is my stylist. She goes above and beyond every single time. I never leave the salon dissatisfied. I get endless compliments on my hair from strangers. I bring my daughter here as well. We adore Maddy! She deserves ten stars instead of five

The first time I went I had a great experience with Jennifer. I believe her name was so I went back
Emily did my hair? I wanted all over color I been getting this for years. The same thing it's not my first rodeo I told her exactly what it needed to be.
She did the opposite
I said all over color blended the same what she do
She put a red violet gloss on my all over color that's dark black and used a dark brown, a lighter color to do the roots.
It wasn't what I wanted at all. So I was told to reschedule. I was willing to give another shot to someone else.
The owner herself told me this was the best stylist they had. I find this hard to believe
Because I told her the same thing. I've always had the same result for what I have asked for neither of them were able to do so, and they still made me pay for the service for something. I did not want that I even gave a second chance to
I brought another shirt to wear while they did it. Not only did she not do what I wanted. It was just black. There was no tint of red Violet at all. I've never had an issue before.
She got the dye all over me
On my face my neck even a shirt that I did not wear while she applied the color.
It was all over a $75 Beautiful white blouse. I don't wear cheap things now I have to replace it and go elsewhere.
I'm extremely unhappy. I'm definitely going to speak to corporate as well as my bank. To see what can be done because this is unacceptable and they could've cared less.
She talked to me as if I was trying to get something for free. No I expect to get the service I pay for and two strikes you're out. I told them I will not be returning. And I do not plan to I would highly suggest you go elsewhere. Not only is the service terrible. The ownership is very unaccommodating as well unprofessional and rude!!!
One last thing I found to be extremely not only immature but very unprofessional. In the middle of my appointment, Maddie and Emily started gossiping about another woman right in front of me in detail. It made me so uncomfortable!!! Very unprofessional staff!!!

Took my mom here today to get some new quality make up and Wendy was so helpful! She knew exactly what she needed and really took time to find the right colors and shades! Thanks for making my mom feel beautiful & comfortable Wendy!

I recently got a haircut and color and am thrilled with it.
HOWEVER, whoever checked me out had an attitude. I was trying to redeem my Diamond status coupons and tried to tell her that. Instead I get a snotty 'we only can give one coupon at a time'. I had to explain what the coupons were for and then I had the audacity to have the light on my phone too low for her to scan them. How inconvenient for her! Then as I was leaving, there was no 'have a nice day'. Rude, rude, rude.

My girlfriend’s sister just informed me about an absolutely appalling encounter that she just experienced today at this location.
My gf and her family are loyal customers at Ulta and spend THOUSANDS of dollars there. Due to this loyalty, they often earn points that they can use for free items. Recently, she utilized some of these free points to receive foundation. Upon receiving the foundation, she then realized it was way too dark for her skin. She then went to this location to exchange for one that matched her skin tone. The sales associate at the location proceeded to help her find a matching tone. Leading her to believe an even exchange would be no problem whatsoever. When the associate went to ring her up, she then informed her that she actually could not exchange, and that she also would NOT receive the points back as well as NOT BEING ALLOWED TO EVEN HAVE THE FOUNDATION BACK. SHE THEN ASKED FOR A MANAGER WHO SAID THE SAME THING. IN WHAT WORLD DOES THAT MAKE SENSE WHERE YOU LEAVE COMPLETELY EMPTY HANDED AND THEY DONT EVEN GIVE THE ORIGINAL ONE BACK TO YOU?! PLEASE ADVISE

Drove over an hour for a piercing appointment and called to let the salon know we’d be 5 minutes late due to construction on the highway. The person that had us on the phone put us on hold and when she returned she stated that the stylist was not yet in the building and she was not sure if 5 minutes would be okay, but we could come in and if it’s not okay upon arrival then we could reschedule. We finished up the phone call and continued on the road, when we arrived to the salon the woman at check in was on the phone. She asked what my appointment was for and then stated she cancelled the appointment because I was late. She then said I could reschedule for later in the day, then said I would have to schedule for tomorrow. My appointment was scheduled for 12 and when I checked my phone the appointment was cancelled exactly at 12 before I was even late. When we left we checked the website and there were still appointments for today so we called to speak to a manager who then claimed we were told only that the appointment would need to be rescheduled, which was not true. We were told we could come in and if It was not okay to be 5 minutes late THEN we could reschedule. I’ve never heard of a salon that books exactly for the time slot without expecting anything to go wrong even on their end.

Literally a joke. I was doordashing and got an order for this store. This one order would've paid one of my bills for the month. I walked in to ask for assistance from one of the employees and they told me they won't assist doordashers with orders. They "aren't allowed to". What is the point of having employees or taking Dash orders if you won't assist customers. These stores are a mess to begin with and you won't help? It would've taken 5 minutes. I unassigned the order and lost out on the pay because of this. I hope the customer's order got assigned to another dasher that's super familiar with the store; Otherwise, Ulta is losing out on a large order. I'm actually disgusted with this experience. I won't accept another doordash order for this store. Nor will I ever shop here again for gifts and I'll attempt to dissuade anyone I know from giving them business until I'm done breathing.

Dave was so helpful on the phone! Got my order ready for a pickup in state college! Was picked up and ready to go! He was super friendly on the phone and helped me tremendously when I couldn’t get there! Great customer service and great products! 10/10 ⭐️
