Weis Markets is a grocery store chain with locations in Pennsylvania, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Delaware, Virginia, and West Virginia. Founded in 1912, it supports the community through various programs and works with local growers, especially in Pennsylvania. Customers appreciate the friendly cashiers and good merchandise throughout the store, including fresh produce, a decent deli, and bakery. Many find the store generally enjoyable to shop in, especially during off-peak hours, avoiding crowded aisles. However, some reviews mention that certain items, like jalapenos, are overpriced or only sold in packs of three or more. The store's self-serve checkout lines can be frustrating, often requiring staff to reset scanners, and sometimes there are no cashiers available, leading customers to ring up their own items with errors. Despite these issues, shoppers note that Weis Markets offers a good overall selection and has a pleasant atmosphere, with some locations, like South Atherton, exceeding expectations with better-than-expected international sections.
My nearest Weis Market and I think the best locally. Not our primary grocery store but certainly it has all we need and some items we specifically shop here for.

Seemed a bit overpriced. Also I could not buy a single jalapeno, only in packs of 3 or more. On the positive side, the store was almost deserted.

Best price for spring water and low sodium chicken broth. Good deals on pork and beef roasts.
