Great old school store. The owners and staff are very friendly. They have a wide range of local food, condiments, sauces, chips and food. They are known locally for having great subs/hoagie (whatever you want to call them). My gf and I both got 1 each and they're huge. Enough for lunch and dinner. They tasted great and the rolls they use are perfect. Earl's is now my new place to get a sandwich, salad or sub. Go by and check them out. You won't be disappointed.

I love Earls market. Walking in feels like a trip back in time. The store is small but has a variety of random grocery items and snack foods. And their little deli is phenomenal! You HAVE to get a sub!! The subs are massive and soo full of meat. At Subway, i can eat a 12in, no problem. At Earls, there's no way. I can't even imagine what their Super option (extra meat) would be like. You fill out a little paper to choose your meats and toppings and put your name on it and in a few minutes, you have a nicely wrapped sub in your hands. They also carry my absolute favorite Dill pickle flavored chips.

Owner will sit and doodle while customers wait for their sandwiches to be made. They cook raw meat in the microwave instead of on the grill.

Best chicken salad in PA in my opinion. Good prices and the go to place to get Faygo soda because Sheetz got rid of them. Only complaint is that is some of the staff can get a little aggressive. Not like there gonna hurt you or anything, I think they just expect you to know what you want before coming in.

I hail from NE PA where we have Italian restaurants run by actual Italians and some exceptional hoagie shops. In this area, there’s NOTHING to write home about. It’s sad. People in this area have no sense of taste. That being said, Earl’s is the best sub place for cold cuts for the local area. Definitely not the best in a 4 state area (as another commenter claims) by a long shot, but the only place I’ll go in the Hagerstown area. The cashiers up front are nice, but the sub making area in the back of the grocery store generally has grouchy workers. FYI, they stop serving hot subs early some days, so call ahead to make sure they will make it for you.

The best Huggies ever. Friendly service. If you are in the area, just stop and get a tasty sandwich for a fair price, you won't regret it. Highly recommended. Plus you can buy excellent steaks, cheese, country ham and all you need for a weekend party

Staff was passive aggressive and not polite at all.I went in at about 5:00 knowing they closed at 6. After looking at what they had for maybe 10 minuets I went outside due to a phone call, then came back in to continue looking. I grabbed a few things and was waiting for a convenient time to check out (when the cashier didn’t seem too busy), but at about 5:20 another worker approaches me and asks if I’m looking for anything in particular because I had been “in and out all day about 4 times” (her exact words). I calmly explained that I’d only been there for 20 minuets at most, and only went outside once due to a phone call. She did not apologize or say anything polite, instead just saying I’d been in there a while. I apologized, and as I went to check out I found the other worker was standing in the aisle watching us. Her hands were on her hips and she looked annoyed, but walked off as she saw I had seen her. I panicked slightly and went to check out, apologizing again if I had accidentally caused an inconvenience and once more explained myself. There was no apology or any politeness at all, just a simple check out.I regret buying and instead wish I had just put my groceries back because I no longer felt welcomed there at all.I have older siblings who have also had similar experiences where they were followed around the aisles and were met with general rudeness by the exact same staff members.
