They answered all of my questions, were able to find me a pair of shoes that fit perfectly, and they also stocked the toe socks I was looking for. I put some miles on both the socks and shoes and find that after a few days my feet are feeling a lot better. I definitely recommend stopping in here. A pair of shoes and some socks is cheaper than bunion surgery.

Not to lay it on too thick, but what an absolutely incredible store. The owner is ridiculously knowledgeable and patient. I previously bought all my shoes online and thought I was doing pretty well. But I’ll never buy another shoe anywhere else but here. I felt like Goldilocks sending her to the back but she just kept bringing me shoes. She guided me into the exact shoe I needed and I left the store completely confident in the fit and feel in the shoe I bought. 10/10 buying experience from start to finish. And absolute gem. This is why we need to hold onto our brick and mortar stores with all our might.

The person working was incredibly helpful and kept finding new shoes for me to try until my taste was eventually met. He never got annoyed or dismissive despite me trying on at least 10 different shoes. Ultimately he was able to find a pair that had everything I needed including a very large toe-box.

This place is a hit or miss...even after ten years of going to this store, supporting with my hard-earned money! I've contemplated writing this several times and held back. But I gotta tell you Trish [the owner] is a hit-and-miss," PAINFULLY!!I live by "support local business." I love to patronize local, so much that I'll put off shopping cheaper at Amazon to give my monies to my community!Sometimes, Trish will pay attention when I've gone in, but most times NOT. Yesterday, was AWFUL!! Been longing to head back and stack up on my running shoes, after nine months away from home. No acknowledgment at the entrance, "Hi, we'll be right with you!"I wasn't surprised.. still planned up the purchase!True, she was attending to another customer. But as someone who's worked in customer svc, a "Hi" means, I've seen you, and appreciate you! Then, when I saw a window of opp to ask her, I said, hey, I plan to get some shoes...but first, I need to take pics of my bf and his friend abroad so they can get a sense of what to order from. We've done this before --with the guy who helps [read works for] her out on some days. We've FaceTimed, so my BF can make an informed selection of his 4/5 pairs of shoes and pay for them online ---in real-time. Plus, I have before bought 3 pairs at once. Sadly, the guy wasn't in because he cares!! He is why I risk returning [against some of my area girlfriends' advice who've also had similarly bad experiences].N'way, Trish talked to me briefly abs moved back to this one last she was helping. Like any other store, I imagined she'd come back to me in between when the other customer is trying on shoes. NOPE!I saw her giving the other customer a session with her foot tech and got intrigued to try it out. When I asked she told me, "Well, you've tried on and used rubbing shoes before, so you know what works."I said, I'd love to see what comes up with the tech, perhaps it can teach me a thing about my foot shape or step."She, "Is not gonna tell you about your shoes...""But every brand is different," I said...She kept on unbothered by me...It's the whole time of being ignored, walking around feeling invisible, when I came in so excited to spend .. not today...as I always do...but once we've all decided on our over 10+ pairs of running shoes in total + running accessories. Except now, I'm going to make a whole trip to The City, pay extra for transport, than spend my money where the owner could care less to offer a pleasant store visitation or shopping experience. Believe me, I'm not the only one yesterday who looked at shoes and didn't take any. But had plans of taking FIVE for me because I now live where it's hard getting good running shoes. Adios

Showed up desperate for shoes during my AT thru-hike. The owner was so friendly and helpful. It was cool to hear about her previous thru-hike and plans to get out there again!

They know their stuff! This was honestly the fastest fitting I've ever had! Ended up paying $150. But what's fantastic, I walked out in my new sneakers, and no foot/ankle pain! I've been in pain for the past week and I'm honestly thrilled for the weather to warm up to get out and go for a walk! Thanks RSR!

Trish is absolutely amazing and insanely knowledgeable. A serious hidden gem out here in the Poconos. I came in looking for running and hiking shoes and explained the issues I've had with shoes in the past, and she knew exactly what to have me try, and even had me go run outside with each pair, and gave me perfect pointers in choosing the right pair for me. Been running and hiking with the shoes I got there and never felt better! I call her the Ollivander of sport shoes! Highly, extremely recommend!

Trish went above and beyond to help my son on the Appalachian trail. She made the effort to work with a manufacturer rep to resolve his issue. Lee was able to get him into a shoe that will keep him on the trail. We really appreciate the outstanding customer service we received from Ready Set Run.

It’s sometimes luck buying shoes that fit properly off the shelf at the shoe outlet stores. Wanting to take luck out of the equation, I went to Ready Set Run shoe store in Stroudsburg, PA for a pair of walking shoes. Lee was very knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous. He checked my gait, measured my foot size, then recommended a few choices that were right for me. I ended up with a pair of Saucony Glide 14 shoes that fit perfectly and are comfortable to wear all day long. A wonderful experience. I recommend Ready Set Run! SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESSES!

Really great experience with Trish. She took the time to listen to my running experience, history and what I was looking for in a shoe. Her determination was I was probably best suited to continue in the specific shoe that I was already in. Unfortunately, she doesn’t carry that particular model and told me that she didn’t want to sell me a shoe that wasn’t right for me. You don’t find many businesses that truly do what’s best for the customer even if that means not getting a sale. I would highly recommend Ready Set Run. They really do care about doing the right thing for each customer. Well done!

I refuse to purchase shoes from this store. The owner of the store is very rude and cold. She does not greet her customers or acknowledge their presence. Also, I returned a pair of shoes to this store as my daughter did not like them and the owner said to me "you never keep anything you buy". I explained to her the shoes were a gift and my daughter didn't like them and she continued to tell me that during these "tough times" it would be nice if customers kept their purchases... unacceptable behavior from a store OWNER. I will say, the man that works here however is very pleasant and helpful and is the only reason I've ever bought anything from this store.

Went to Ready Set Run today for a new pair of sneakers. I dealt with Trish and what a great experience I had. The questions that she asked prior to fitting me showed not only that she cared but showed the knowledge that she has. Will be back in the Spring.
