Walked in and asked to see a specific back issue that was on the wall and the cashier sighed like I was bothering him and gave me an attitude when asking me to point out the issue. I wound up having to go behind the counter myself and put my finger right on it and the guy seemed like he just wasn’t interested in making $80 (over priced in my opinion) on a single comic for the store that day. I had a much better reception from a different person a week prior. I won’t be going back.

What I love about Showcase Comics is that everything is available for reasonable prices. Staff is always ready to help new customers navigate to what they want and need.

This is my go-to comic store. It's changed owners twice since I've been going. The new owner, Mike, is a great guy who definitely loves comics. And the other Mike who is there often is a well of knowledge. Especially when it comes to comic value. They give honest deals on buying one's stash and on pricing the stash they have. Both Mikes don't believe in price guaging, so you know you're getting an honest deal.

I walked in then walked around and not once was I greeted or asked if I needed help.There were people there playing some sort of game.Don't know if it was Dungeon and Dragons or something else.Wasn't really my kind of store anyway.But give it a chance you may like it.

There has never been a cozier comic book and games shop North of Virginia than Showcase. Don't fool yourself, this isn't the 1980s, and this shop isn't a bakery. No scones to be had here, though there is a decent place just down aways to get good lo-mein. Be wary, though! Conversations can get quite spicy when the concepts of the Personifications of the Emotional Spectrum are concerned, and explanations of who and where Sodom Yat is come up.

I have only been to this place once but WOW!!!! This place was amazing. First off, Vaughn, the staff person that was there, was amazing! He was friendly and so welcoming, especially with the younger customers. Lots and lots of comics and graphic novels! This place also has a great selection of Warhammer minis and tables to play at. There was a ton of terrain. If you are in Chester, or visiting Philadelphia, come here. You won’t be disappointed!

I've been a fan of Showcase Comics since I first saw the big, blue space marine and Superman as a kid in the 90s at the Granite Run Mall. I live too far away now to frequent Mike & the gang at this location but Showcase is still THE destination for comics, Warhammer, MtG, D&D - whatever you need for your n*** lifestyle.
