Awful customer service. 48 hour return policy is not posted in the store or on receipt. Attempted to return a window AC THREE days after purchase because it did not work. It was in original packaging with all parts and paperwork because it was never used. Turned on once and discovered it was faulty. Don’t bother telling us to call customer care because they do NOTHING. We shopped regularly at this store and have spent a lot of money there on home improvement. Never had a problem with a return. Unless you use a Lowe’s credit card, return is impossible. Managers are rude. Had us call customer care to resolve the issue and wasted an hour on the phone just to be told the manager gave us the wrong information. We will no longer be customers of Lowes.

Employees are lazy and slow- asked for help 3 times to different employees ( at the customer service desk) so we can load up a heavy bathroom vanity and no one came after 40 minutes.. had to get a nice passerby to help us.

Lowe's needs to take a look at the pros part cause a regular customer can get help later every day and if your a pro don't even bother getting pro help on the weekend cause the pro desk is close in the weekends. Plus if you have items delivered be prepared if you have any returns it will be you taking the items back to the store. Oh and Lowe's now uses Instacart for deliveries and they have no clue how to handle or load building materials!!!

Busy store, huge line, 1 checkout lane open, self checkout lanes closed.
Update after 3 years: There are giant craters in the road leading up to this building. I would advise going bascacly anywhere else.

I shop here because they have what I need all in one place with convenient hours. I do like the ability to get pricing and compare products online. It is also useful that lowes.com indexes the aisle/bay for most products.

The lady at the return desk , Steph, was one of the worst customer service representatives I have ever dealt with. Our countertops were damaged and when we checked out to buy them, the same countertop got scanned so she said they could not return it. I told her that if she looked on our Lowe’s card she would be able to see that I was charged for both countertops. Steph then became very short and snippy and said that we could not return it. I told her that I had a receipt in my car I could get (even though it would show the same thing the Lowe’s card did) but she said she could still not do anything for us and we would basically have to give up the almost $150 we just spent and buy ANOTHER countertop. When I asked for a manager Steph then said that she was going to tell me the same thing and was talked about us to her coworker. The manager that came over was very nice and processed the return as I had asked. When I showed the manager the receipt, the (again) “head cashier” Steph said “oh so you have a receipt now that she’s here” even though she told me in the beginning that a receipt wouldn’t have helped so I did not get it to begin with. I have worked in customer service and have never encountered such a rude cashier who was blatantly arguing with me when i was trying to be understanding
of their computer system not letting her process the return. On a good note, the manager and Theresa were EXTREMELY helpful and nice so I appreciate them for all they did for us today.

On August 2nd at approximately 3:45 I was checking out at the Mills Lowe's store. It was the most rude and unprofessional performance by any clerk in recent memory. After waiting 10 to 15 minutes in the checkout line, I arrived at the checkout location that had a light on and a party standing behind the register. Another associate appeared next to the checkout clerk as the checkout clerk pulled the cash drawer and was counting money. Waiting for the new clerk to take over, I asked how long it would be as I have been waiting for such a long period of time alreadyThe clerk just looked at me and said I'm closing this station. I was directed to a newly open line across the corridor where i found there's three or four customers waiting to check out. The line did not move as the new cashier had problems with checking out items that the customer had purchased. Having to start over at the end of the new line that had not moved I left my load of lumber and exited the store. The Rude and unconcerning checks-out Clerk was a heavyset blonde lady

Idiots work at this store! Returned 3 cabinets they couldn’t return 2 and exchange 1. Supposedly they changed the policy in March. But other Lowe’s are still doing exchanges?? They have to return everything back to the card and you have to repurchase. I spoke to the manager on the phone and he just kept reiterating “You need proof of purchase”?? We did have proof of purchase!

I went to Lowe’s today to grab some wood and flowers. I walked around the garden center grabbed my plants (2 flowers) and went to the wood section to check out. I stood in line for about 15 minutes waiting patiently to check out (store was practically empty only one person in front of me.. and the cashier an older woman with blonde hair walked right by us and didn’t say a word.. we stood there confused and swapped into the other line. And we stood there for another 5-10 minutes while the cashier (was not ringing anyone) stood there silent and was just staring. The person in front of us asked if it would take awhile after about 7 minutes of waiting and the young girl (dark hair) said “yes” and something about a check issue. The communication and care for customers in this store is appalling. I work as a retail manager and i understand how hard it can be. But this was downright rude. I love shopping at Lowe’s and I want to support the Pittsburgh mills location, but this makes me feel so unappreciated and like we don’t matter. As employees, you need to remember who actually keeps the store running, because when you have no customers you have no store. Do better.

Mikayla in appliances absolutely made my day! So in a pinch with a bad refrigerator and little kids at home we decided to do the Lowes leasing program. I have had years of bad experiences with Lowes and consider it bad luck for me to shop there. Today Mikayla changed that she took years of bad experiences and in one good experience and her genuinely caring about us as a customer has now restored my confidence and created a new beginning for me to shop at Lowes with ease. I reported the good experience to Alejandro and she too was very friendly appreciative and welcoming we will be back!

Some of the most helpful employees. We sat looking at the outdoor sets for almost an hour. One female employee would stop and check on us multiple times until we finally made a decision
