Schlegel's Grocery & Hardware is an amazing local variety store and community hub. It offers a great selection from food, bakery, butcher shop, and deli to hardware, tools, and household necessities. The staff is super helpful, polite, friendly, and patient, providing top-notch customer service. The store has a variety of things all in one, featuring excellent prices especially on meats, and products that no one else has. Their baked goods, including the best ham salad and excellent homemade burger buns, are noted. It is the perfect store with reasonable pricing, accommodating many needs.

Been going there 50 years. Used to be the only game in town, but still holds up if you don't want to make a more distant trip. Seems to have everything you would need.
