I took a chance and won a few items on an on line auction. Photos were very poor quality but I was pleased with the items I purchased. The worst part was the woman directing people was very rude. I simply wasn’t walking toward her as I was speaking with someone I hadn’t seen in a while. She was yelling at me and was very sarcastic. That was my first and last experience with Jelliff.

In Feb. of 2020 my husband's complete shop of tools were listed with the Jelliff Auction Group. It was such a disappointment. I might better have sold the tools by the roadside. I did not realize until after the sale was completed the following. Jelliff charges an 18% buyers premium. This truly lined their pockets and took away any profit for me. In other words the Jelliff group made 30% on my sale plus 18% buyers premium. This adds up to a profit of 48%. After seeking information from other auctioneers they stated that fair and reputable auctions no longer engage in this greedy practice of charging a buyers premium. When I learned of this I wrote a couple of letters to Randy Jelliff with my concerns. That was 2 years ago and never received a courteous reply. I am 84 years old and my husband is in a nursing home. I have learned a very costly lesson Buyer Beware and consult your lawyer before signing any contract. Live and Learn!!

United Country - Jelliff Auction & Realty is not a very organized well run company. Never once communicated with the neighbors (us) about our neighbors auction being over and pick up days happening. Tons of traffic on our private road, making our driveway a sheet of ice. Cars, trucks, and trucks with trailers backed up our driveway due to people not making it up or down the driveway. We had cinders come because I need to transport a horse to Cornell, now we will need to have another load put down due to the traffic driving it in. Went to talk to them about helping pay and they refused and have been quite rude to us. Very disappointed in the company. If you ever need to use them in the future consider someone else.
