Story time… so this morning I took a quick flight down the New Garden to top off the tanks. After fueling I tried to start the plane but she wouldn’t start. Huge thanks to the maintenance shop at N57 New Garden and @chester_county_aviation for working together to diagnose and replace a faulty magneto. Specifically thanks Jon Martin, Scotty Gagnon, Conner Lapps, and Jake @jakesarac1. She’s back to flying good as new! Thanks again guys!!!!!

One of the best GA Airports around! I learned to fly here in the early 90s and have the privilege to be the Aviation Director of this great Airport.

For a long time, I've been coming to this airfield to see their airshow...and it's a very nice one. They also, for a time, hosted the Chester County Hot air balloon festival. Their airshow is among a unique one because, unlike your traditional airshows, they set up the aerobatic box on a side of the airfield so instead of using the runway as their box, I've often seen them circle back around for their performances: as seen in most pictures like these I took last year. Even cooler is their car show they have as part of the festivities for the airshow. So if you want an event that'll send your head in the clouds, here's a place that'll surely take you there

Nice runway and taxiways. End of 24 can be confusing, just pay attention. Fuel is decent price. The FBO is nice and has a family country feel. They have coffee. Only negative I can say about the place is, there were a lot of tail spotters hanging around. Use caution when flying in for the POTUS TFR.

My son has been flying here for @ 4 years. He is 13 now and it is such a great experience for him. A fantastic place for a person with the right passion to learn.

I keep a 53 Tri Pacer at New Garden. It's a nice and friendly small town airport that thanks to Jon Martin is available to the public.

Worked as a vendor for Victory for the balloon festival one year and had a lot of fun. I’ve also taken flight lessons here and then gotten them as gifts for other people.

They have a lot of good events that happen here like the air show. It is a small local airport and the people are really nice here

We fly here frequently and are always treated well. The facilities get better every year due to lots of hard work by the manager.

They don’t seem to care about the people that want to learn how to fly. I’ve taken 3 lessons and had 4 cancelled by them - 3 supposedly because they can’t change the oil in an engine ...

Good place to hold the balloon festival. They provide the trailer to get you from parking lot to the gate. There are tons of vendors selling ice cream, burgers, beer and T-shirts. Also, tons of activities you can choose, you can take the monster truck to experience the forest, Trying the Zip line, to feel the wind and sunshine. Live band music which is an elderly artists play the guitar and sing. Face painting for the kids. All of them are cheap, however, Helicopter tour for $60, the balloon rides are so expensive, $250 for the afternoon launch, $225 for the morning, which makes me so disappointed.

My family and I visited New Garden Aviation this weekend for the Chester County Hot Air Balloon Festival and we were mostly disappointed. We've been to other balloon festivals (with cheaper admission price as well) that had HUGE flea markets or craft fair & bazaar's attached, complete with free petting zoo and all of that fun stuff for $10 per person, however, this festival was a whopping $20 per person and included absolutely nothing. No petting zoo, like 20 maximum booths, zip lining and bull riding for an additional fee. Understandably there are going to be things that are additional fees, but $20 for entry is pretty outrageous because it includes literally nothing. AND if there is bad weather and the balloons don't go up, you're s*** out of luck, because no refunds. I'd go again next year for the balloon glow, because that seems to be worth it, but honestly Sunday's admission should be maximum of $10 considering they're not doing the balloon glow. Understandably ballooning is a fickle sport, but they really need to beef up the other offerings if they're going to continue charging $20 for entry. They didn't even have a band playing the whole time. Everyone was just sitting around bored and waiting for the balloons to at least inflate. Overall I got a couple nice pictures, but not $20 per persons worth.
