“I’ve been a member since 2012…I moved to Towanda in 2009…I wasn’t able to get a checking account for my payroll deposit due to credit issues related to my wife’s death in 07…my employer was “strongly encouraging” me to get direct deposit….being the Lone Ranger without direct deposit every bank i approached declined opening a checking account due to 300 credit score it would of been lower but that was the lowest available at that time….i approached corporate America’s loan officer with my problem they agreed to open a savings & checking account with direct deposit debit card…the journey really began that day to overcome my credit problems some I had no control over some I was the sole contributor…..along that long journey when I needed money advice I asked loan officers at corporate…eventually corporate America granted me the first personal loan $1000 for Xmas….I eventually accumulated a few high interest loans for a vehicle and other things…with corporate America’s guidance i was able to elevate my credit score over the next 7 years to 675 during a conversation with a loan officer that has been very helpful it was suggested I could consolidate high interest credit rebuild ( keep you paying high interest ) loans with a corporate America loan….my dream when i started this journey was a nice home & a new Silverado 4X4 done my way ( I drove what buy here pay here chose for me long enough ) while maintaining a 700 plus credit score.,.2 years ago with corporate America’s help my final dream the Silverado became reality …I really don’t believe the journey would of started without they’re yes that day or became reality without they’re guidance and support you can do it as I struggled to overcome my credit issues…I don’t always hear what I want when i ask for advice however it’s always the truth …yes they’ve turned me down for a loans & explained why and what I could do to ensure better results ….I intend to keep corporate America as my financial institution and for any minor & major purchases indefinitely….I seriously doubt I’m a Lone Ranger …my thoughts are if you are where I was & really want better and are willing to ask for help & do the work they’ll get you there….thank you everyone at corporate America family credit union Johnnie”
