By the time I would make the 2 hour round trip and loading etc, going to Scranton or Wilkes Barre, Fuel cost, time lost working on my projects, It actually saves me money to buy here at Herron Lumber! I also like the delivery, don't have to fool around with my trailer loading it there etc.

$9 for a 2x4x8, $6 for a 2x2x8…wow! I’ll go to Home Depot and get the same lumber for half the price. I love shopping local but how can you when they’re double the price!

I have gone to Herron Lumber several times with various Do-It-yourself problems and they always go out of their way to find a solution. I have found them to be very helpful and amazingly tolerant of my inexperience and strange projects. They have the knowledge and experience needed to answer my questions and always make me feel like a valued customer. I cannot reccomend them highly enough to do them credit. When working with them, you will know that you are not dealing with a large chain store but with a few good people who really know their stuff, care about their customers and who can afford to take the time to do their job well.
