January 2024 by Pitt Reviews
I dined here in September and looked forward to this experience for a WHILE. The space is small/cozy, but small so be prepared. Friendly service, owner checked in during meal, so that was standard.I reviewed the menu prior to my visit and noticed the $7 PER STEM BYOB fee-be prepared. If you purchase a bottle of wine for say, $20, that same bottle of wine is going to cost you ANOTHER $28 ($7*4 glasses=$28) so that bottle of wine is now $48. I brought a one bottle of beer and was prepared. It was a treat, right?I ordered the pork chop with pickled cucumbers and honestly, I forget the other side it came with. The pork was DRY!!!!! Not good. I understand pork is challenging to cook, especially when it’s thick, but for the notoriety of this establishment, regardless of their current situation, the pork chop was bad. I’m not a chef by any means, but I know how to make my own pasta, risotto, know where to go for farm-raised meats, so when I eat out, I expect the food to be good when I’m paying this premium. I ordered the hazelnut dessert and it was delicious.Be ready: they also charge some other type of fee. I can’t remember how much it was; I believe an additional 7%! I asked why the fee and she said it was a “house charge”? Really? Additionally, they are cash only. I was unaware. The owner was nice enough to let me bring the cash the next day. I went to drop it off during their hours but they were closed on a Saturday night so I left it in their mailbox.I did not include their “house charge” as they aren’t going to charge me to patronize their establishment they serves dry pork chop.I SO wanted to love this restaurant and never write bad reviews. I enjoy supporting local businesses, but charging a percentage for me to dine at Wild Rosemary and a $7 per stem fee? No thank you.All the best with the closing.

These are very good sandwiches. But you have to come early because if you come after lunch the sandwiches are cold..

The owners are running a killer street food stand with an amazing grill out front their restaurant. Got their grilled pork sandwich and it's to die for. This hit the spot on a hot summer day! 10/10 would recommend you stop by

Finally managed to enjoy the main restaurant experience and it was well worth the wait. Everything about this place is a complete joy. The service is friendly, attentive, and genuine which adds to the already cozy atmosphere. The menu seems to change out on a monthly basis so selection is always going to be an enjoyable challenge. We had four in our party and, after our sharing the calamari appetizer, everyone went their own direction. Everything sounded amazing but I decided on the filet and it was outstanding. After dinner we decided on two desserts which we shared. I rarely get dessert but the food was so incredible I couldn't miss out. This place is such a treat and well worth the price. Whether you're marking a special occasion or getting together with friends, this place is a must. There's limited seating so be sure to book well in advance. Highly recommend! Enjoy!

We've been coming for 9 years. There is no where like this place. You have to go to get it. Bring good with you and good will come to you.

I really hate to write this review, not because the food was bad, quite the opposite, the food is Amazing. I just hate to let anyone else know how good it is, it's hard enough to get a reservation already. This was our first vIsit, I've been trying to eat there for a while, but they are always booked and I'm not good at planning far out. The meal started with a complimentary home made bread sticks with peppered butter over a cherry purée. It's great, simple, a perfect starter. We ordered an appetizer of smoked mozzarella with toasted baguette. It was also excellent and enough for 4 people. Our entrees consisted of the lamb chops and the scallops. The lamb was over asparagus and edemame and the scallops were over noodles. I attached a picture of the menu that describes the meals in detail. Both meals were perfectly seasoned and cooked. The other thing worth mentioning is the location. It's very unassuming, small and on a basic street in the south hills. If you were driving by you might not even notice it, but that the beauty of it. It's very small, 5 tables and a total of 25-30 people max. It's really like private dining. It's dark, romantic, and private. You can hear other people around you, but it never feels crowded. The service is spot on and they charge a 20% gratuity, it's automatically added to your bill. Given the quality of food and service, I have no problem with a gratuity added. The staff completely deserves it and I'm happy to support them. All in all this is a great little find and I'm so appreciative that we have this in the south hills. I booked my next dinner there before I left.

I had the pleasure of dining there on 02/08/22The food is delicious and the atmosphere is intimate and relaxed. We ordered the stuffed banana peppers to start. They were perfectly seasoned with just a little bit of heat. We ordered the filet mignon for our main and I could have drunk the amazing red wine sauce. The stakes were cook to medium rare and had the texture of butter. They melted in your mouth. I'm sure I'm leaving out details, but I will never forget the incredible service we received from the time we arrived until we left.We were treated like honored guest and had an excellent experience. We definitely plan on coming back, and will remember to byob. Thank you to everyone at Wild Rosemary for a wonderful time and a memorablemeal.

I have been looking forward to dining at Wild Rosemary for quite sometime now and boy, was it worth the wait! The atmosphere is filled with the best energy, from the people behind the scenes, to the other guests. The food was excellent, and I felt so cozy and comfortable in the eclectic dining space. You could tell other diners have been coming in for quite some time, and they keep coming back for good reason.I'm looking forward to many more visits!!! ❤️

I haven't been here forever (pre-Yelp, in fact, but the food was always fabulous), but today I rode past and saw they were serving lunch outside, featuring Grilled Sandwiches w/sides of slaw or Orzo, and I had just finished eating lunch at home, so I wasn't really hungry, but I did have to stop and see what was happening. I posted the menu, and saw the food grilling up, but all I had room for was a side of Orzo (see photo) . It was as super yummy and definitely hit the spot. Will come back again for a sandwich, and I'll try the slaw next time ... Cheers!

This is one of the best restaurants in the city for a reason. The food is unbelievable, I never had a dish or even an appetizer or side dish that wasn't absolutely phenomenal. Gloria is an amazing chef who really puts everything she has into her dishes. The menu is simple, I suggest trying everything, I can't make a recommendation because literally everything is so good. The waitstaff is helpful, professional and welcoming. I also love the ambience,it's so comfortable and classy. Definitely don't pass up Wold Rosemary.
