I brought in my cat, that had appeared to have suffered a seizure and the attending veterinarian, Dr. Jackson, was calm, helpful and compassionate. My best kitty girl had died and Dr. Jackson examined her and was detailed in her explanation about the likely cause of death. Emergency clinics get a bad rap because they see us, both animals and humans, in crisis. It's a no-win situation. I have two kitties still healthy and if something happens after hours or on a holiday I would not hesitate to bring either of them to Bucks County Vets. Pic is my girl in her healthy glory.

Take your pet elsewhere. Never took bloodwork for my dog when thats the first thing they should have done. Found out later from a competant vet that shes having kidney failure and lhyme nephritis.

The only reason this place deserves one star is because my cat didn't die there. I was waiting an hour and a half while my cat was getting sick in her carrier to even see the doctor. They gave her medication and told me that I can take her home and monitor her. All the sudden they say that she will die unless she is under a doctor's care overnight and said they would call me in the morning. They did not call me in the morning and did not answer the phone when I called several times. I decided to show up and rang the doorbell, knocked on the door for an hour. I noticed several notes left by other pet parents who were worried about their pets and were not contacted. By the grace of God a cop happened to pull into the parking lot and I told him the situation and he went and looked around to see if he could see anyone. All the sudden, the doctor walks out and says she was too busy to answer the phone and door until then. Look at the other reviews of this place... My cat was lucky, others have not been so lucky. If you love your pet even in the slightest do not go here.

Dr Jackson is kind, caring and an exceedingly smart vet. My dog suffered post surgical complications from liver surgery performed at VSEC. With patience and loving hands she provided hands on care to our dear Izzy, got her to eat, drink and walk again as a result of efficiently identifying the root cause of our dogs issue and providing around the clock care. This was a 100 percent improvement over the care that she received at VSEC at a significantly reduced cost. Thanks to DR Jackson Izzy now has a chance to live out her golden years. This is the best money I have ever spent. Thank you Dr Jackson!!!

We took our dog there Saturday evening to be put to sleep. I have to say the staff was very caring and thoughtful. My only complaint is they are very expensive but we had no choice at the time.

I had to take my poor pup here at 4am when she had an allergic reaction and got hives all over her body. I called and Dr. Jackson was incredibly helpful, calm and straightforward. She explained how much it would cost and told me to bring her right over. She took such great care of my pup and was wonderful. It didn’t cost nearly as much as I thought it would and I was home by 5am. My pup felt relief immediately and was back herself by the time I had to leave for work at 7am. I’m so glad I took her here and highly recommend them if you find yourself in a situation where you need them!

I would like to share my experience at Bucks County Vets with those thinking about taking their pet to this hospital. I normally take my dog to Main Street Animal Hospital in Doylestown which was closed at the time of our emergency. I did not get the chance to do any research on the facility until I began to have issues with the Vet and Vet Tech. They told me my dog should stay for 3 days to get IV fluids and blood drawn to check liver enzymes. I called 3xs a day to check on my dog and when i had called the morning of the 3rd day and they said they had to draw look from his jugular and weren't able to stick him because the vet was the only one there when their website states a doctor and nurse will be there at all times to monitor the pets admitted to the hospital. I called again in the afternoon and Dr. Jackson stated she was still unable to draw his blood she said she still had no one to hold the dog. Finally, I called around 6 pm to get a time frame of when i could pick up my dog. SHE STILL HAD NOT DRAWN THE BLOOD. Then states he may need to stay an additional night. I finally was told he would be ready by 815pm while I was at work my dad went to pick up my pup and the vet tech told him to come back later because " the blood was spinning" and he was not ready to leave. So he went back home and my mother contacted out cousin is in Vet school and looked up the reviews for this place and decided we needed to go get our dog ASAP! When they got there at 9pm they heard our dog crying and screaming in the back as they told us they were taking out his IV when in fact they were just sticking his jugular to finally get the labs we have been waiting on all day. We stated we would follow up with our vet and we will be on our way. They faxed over the lab reports and would not give us a copy. This place is a scam and will try to keep your dog to be able to charge you more for boarding fees. DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE EVER!!!!! They will try to take advantage of you and I feel awful for leaving my poor dog in the care of these people after reading the awful reviews on yelp. We will not be back!

Do not take your animal to this place! Dirty, old, and staff are completely incompetent, heartless, and untrustworthy. This place should be closed. If you care about the wellbeing of your pet go anywhere but here. This review comes from the lonely, horrific, and awful death of our beloved cat because of their “emergency†care. They will flat out lie to you and take your money.

We called ahead to make sure there was no wait, and brought my seizing kitty in as fast as possible. We got very thorough driving directions, and Dr. Jackson immediately rushed off with our cat. About twenty minutes later, we heard meowing from the back. She stabilized our dear friend and brought her back to consciousness, and brought her out to us to hold. Given her old age and the underlying issues we’ve been treating for the past year worsening, we had to make the extremely hard decision to say goodbye, but without Dr. Jackson’s quick and caring work, our goodbye would have been a completely different memory. She let us all pet and hold our kitty until she passed, and made her and us as comfortable as possible. I’m truly greatful to know she was sent off in the best possible and most loving scenario. Thank you so much, Dr. Jackson.

If you care about your pet even a little bit, DO NOT GO HERE. Dr. Jackson is a LIAR. She has misdiagnosed animals which ultimately led to their death, put people's animals to sleep without their consent, kept animals for days unnecessarily just to collect the boarding fees. She has stolen countless dogs and cats - some of which she used as blood banks. She also volunteers with the known animal abusers at the Iditarod Sled Dog races. Aside for them the horrible abuse, that race is known for hosting dog fights behind the scenes. I wouldn't be surprised if she steals people's dogs to use them as bait dogs.

I've recently met Dr. Jackson and her team during a very stressful heartbreaking time. Other facilities gave up on my pup... telling me to put her to sleep... but Dr. Jackson and her staff never gave up. They put their best effort and skill forward and they saved my Bubbles's life. Thanks to them she'll be alive to see more than just 8 weeks of life. THANK YOU ALL for your dedication, love and care, my family and I will always be extremely grateful for what you've done.

Horrible place! This is supposed to be an emergency vet, yet I waited 40 minutes and was never seen! When I came in I was the only one there, after 15 minutes people started coming in to pick up there animals and the front desk / triage girl kept helping them! I ended up leaving and going to another vet hospital who took me within 15 minutes. How can you charge $185 for just an exam (no medication or test included) and expect me to wait 40 minutes! Disgusting.
Called and asked to speak to manager. Russ, advised me he is the administrator and he was extremely nasty, unprofessional and rude. He didnt care at all!
Would not recommend at all!

This is the worst place to take your pet. They have a corrupt business practice and they are liars. I took my cat there after hours because he was walking strange. I called the vet prior and they told me to bring him in for an exam. When we got there, we went into a room with the vet and she noticed my cats' bladder a bit full. So she said she needs a urine sample to check for infection/blood. So she told us that she is going to take him into the back to get a sample from him. 45 Minutes later she comes out and tells us that she performed a Catheter operation to empty his bladder. We were never asked if we wanted her to perform that procedure. So she charged us for the operation and for the anesthesia. After we told her that we would not pay for it, she told us that the cat would have to stay there until the bill was paid and that we would be charged $50 for every day that the cat stayed. STAY AWAY FROM THIS VET. They are total scum.

i've been to dozens of clinics, and while most 24-hour ER vet spots earn their "slow service, expensive care, and frigid and snarky staff" reputations, this place takes the cake. not only a slow and discourteous staff, the doctor was "on call" but not in the building. there was constant confusion between who was going in what room and where certain animals were in the clinic, filthy floors and walls, and an overall "we'll get to you when we can" attitude. i took my pup in for labored breathing. they gave her a brief, in-lobby once-over and then told me to sit down...for 45 minutes. she was not as bad as she had been at home or in the car, but she was still breathing hard. i know they are blaise about everything bc they've seen it all before, but their bedside manner and the fact that it took 1.5 hours for a vet even to look at my pup is just the end. i wish a decent ER would open up closer to me. i will consider driving to Quakertown next time. if that's an option for you, it might be your best bet.
